Turn

Wow...it was definitely worth the money to buy this import. My very picky girlfriend even loves this album. Their sound is...is...well, imagine a performer like Sarah McLachlan then imagine the complete opposite. This is an ebullient, joyous collection of great songs, sung in a tight, yet rambunctious free-for-all. Like Stan Rogers, you can almost smell the ocean when you listen. As the picky girlfriend says: "It's a manly album sung by manly men. Now play it again."

Great music, awesome band, one of my favorites so of course I have to give this a good review. If you don't know the band try it because they're fantastic and quite diverse in their music.

Great Big Sea offers great harmony and a glimpse into a culture of sea-faring songs. Their music just makes me happy--no matter what mood I'm in when I turn it on. This cd is not my favorite ("Up" is my favorite, with "Hard and Easy" close behind),but this cd is still well worth the purchase.

This band is so refreshing. A first-rate musical group putting out fantastically produced albums in a time when American pop music is producing "blahhhh". Just try one album and you'll buy them all! Turn is a great CD and so is Rant and Roar. Five BIG stars!

Fun, infectious Celtic/folk music done with so much enthusiasm it will have you up dancing in no time! This a great band - have all of the CD's and they never fail to please.

As with all the other Great Big Sea CD's I have purchased, I just can't get enough! I feel energized and emotionally bouyed up whenever I listen to this CD.
