USDA Organic Dried Elderberries 1lb, Whole Black Elderberry Bulk

These organic dried elderberries are my go to for my elderberry syrup production! They exceed my expectations every single time. The product quality and freshness are superb. I’ve ordered them several times a year for the past 3 years and never disappointed. They are wonderful dried beads full of immune boosting properties and the main ingredient in my syrup. The taste is adequate (elderberry are naturally bitter) the ease of measurement always on point (berries are small, round and dry). Whether I am making a small batch or using the entirety of the lot my recipe stays true as this is the brand I use. The price has risen over time but inflation is a global phenomena that is evident in all areas of life. My elderberry has also increased in cost due to the rise in prices of the berries, my local honey and other ingredients. I highly recommend them. I never find any stems within the bag and they seem to be the cleanest on the market! They are an absolute breeze to use for tea…I always hold some in reserve for evening tea. It doesn’t take much as they are so potent. One tablespoon is enough for one proper cup of elderberry tea. I hope you enjoy them as much as my clients and I do. We made two huge batches of elderberry syrup with these! They were great value and quality, and provided more than enough to make lots of syrup for the sickness season. The syrup tasted delicious. I added water, berries, clove, cinnamon, ginger to a crockpot and let simmer for 8 hours. Then I strained it and added honey. We have not gotten sick this season, in part I think that the syrup taken daily is helping our immune systems.

Every day I put about a tsp. of the berries into a regular water bottle and let it soak, immediately it starts to brew and very soon the berries are soft and the tea is delicious. I've been using the grape flavored water for added flavor. It is almost like a bubble tea effect.

Perfect for making elderberry syrup to help boost our immune system this winter season. The price for the amount you get is more than good. My kids didn’t like the smell while it was cooking, but that early had nothing to do with the product itself. The taste was excellent and seems to be pretty potent as we have not gotten sick since making and taking it, even though we’ve been around people who have been sick. I do have to go through and pull out the brown pieces and stems, but there aren’t that many compared to others I’ve used.
