Ordered for a family member with a rather large ingroinal hernia, this is working well. Strong velcro. Would recommend. He also says it's comfortable, well as comfortable as can be expected. It stays in place well.

Comfortable and Well-Made But Mind the Bulge
I developed a left side inguinal hernia for which I am now awaiting surgery. Being an avid exerciser, I wanted to continue my workouts while keeping the hernia from developing further. After looking at all the options on Amazon, I settled on this belt as it is wide with plenty of room for adjustment.I have now worn the belt for about a week, and it keeps my hernia from protruding while being comfortable to wear. The egg-shaped pad can be placed precisely where it needs to be. The pad is bulky, but necessary to be able to deliver the pressure required to control the hernia. The belt is awkward to put on. I found the best way is to put it on is to place the pad over the hernia and adjust the tightness of the belt. Then, to remove it, slide it down your legs without releasing the tension. Then, you can easily pull it up without the hassle of re-tensioning the hook and loop.I can exercise, walk, and sit in comfort with this belt. The strap under my groin was annoying at first, but I quickly got used to it. Now I don't notice it.The belt is well made with quality materials and looks as if it will lastI found that when I wear the belt, the egg-shaped pad protrudes in a very obvious bulge inside my pants. To prevent some people from getting the wrong idea, I always wear loose-fitting untucked shirts or sweaters. That way, the apparatus remains discretely hidden. This belt is the perfect solution for hernia control as I await my surgery. I highly recommend it.

Best made Hernia belt today!
This is the most comfortable hernia support I have ever warn... It uses top quality material and works 90%.. However using it for several months I noticed a few short cummings... The ball that cushions the hernia is a little too hard, causes pain after a long wear... Plus the connection between the botton hold down strap & belt was poorly designed, it immediately twists and cuts into the rubber straps, eventuall it will cut all the way through... The last thing that needs to be changed is where the belt connects... Both velcro connections need to be in the front of the belt so it can be tightened properly... Most of us need to lie on our backs to tighten the belt, connecting in the back is difficult for me... Overall it is still the best hernia belt I have ever warn... Added note, these belts are not meant to be warn all day long, one or two hours is as long as it should be warn, causes nerve pain when warn too long...

Hernias are all different!
It works well! However, my opinion is that you shouldn't expect for it to work for you right away. Everyone has a different hernia. Some small, others large. This belt is an excellent base to customize a fit to your specific hernia. At first it it didn't keep my hernia in, Its a bit of trial and error. I added a rolled up sock to the pad pocket to add more pressure to my hernia. It works like a charm. The velcro is very strong. I just bought another for back up. Your skin is going to go through some stretching and all around uncomfortableness until you get used to working with the belt.Until I have $7,500 for my surgery, I feel that's going to be never at this point, this belt absolutely works and does the job well.

Best $35 I've spent in recent history. As I've learned hernia surgeons have a waiting list. This allows me to continue running and walking with out discomfort or fear of aggravating a hernia while awaiting my surgical repair.

Works well, slightly bad design
Stays in place and does what it’s supposed to, but the little plastic piece that you thread the leg strap through is very hard plastic and eventually starts to dig into you. Bad placement or maybe just use a different softer material

I highly recommend it.
I bought this belt to get some relief from an inguinal hernia while waiting for surgery to repair it. It worked well and helped so much. It is high quality and easy to use. I highly recommend it.

A well designed, effective truss.
This truss, although a bit pricey, is a well designed and well assembled belted truss that performs its task well. There is a bit of a learning curve involved in figuring out the best positioning for the truss and how to manage toileting when fully dressed but I would guess that would be true for learning to cope with using a truss. With this truss, I no longer have groin pain and my physician says I may never need surgery to repair the hernia. I am totally satisfied with this truss.
