Right out of the box, this mic feels solid and well-built. It’s surprisingly heavy for its size, which honestly makes it feel premium and durable — definitely not cheap plastic. The compact design is perfect for smaller setups or desks, and the magnetic base keeps it stable while recording. From what I’ve seen and read, the sound quality is clear and crisp thanks to the studio-grade condenser capsule. It’s made to pick up natural-sounding vocals with very low background noise, which makes it great for podcasting, streaming, or recording music. I picked up this Rhode mic for my webinar meetings and overall I'm really happy with it. The sound quality is exactly what I was looking for and it's been working great for my needs. One thing I noticed when I first got it was that there were some white marks on the surface. I was a bit concerned at first thinking they might be scratches or permanent damage, but turns out they just wiped right off with a cloth. Not sure if it was from packaging or handling during shipping, but it wasn't a big deal since they came off easily. The mic itself performs really well and feels solid. Setup was straightforward and I haven't had any technical issues with it. The build quality seems good and it's been reliable so far. Would definitely recommend this mic - just don't worry if you see some white marks when you first unbox it. They're probably just surface residue that cleans off no problem.

For under $100 you get a well built USB microphone with easy to use features and nifty desk mount. When paired with the Rode Connect app, you can fine tune the sound to make recordings even richer, deeper and cleaner than with most other mics out at this price point. One thing to note is that as a condenser microphone, this mic can be really sensitive to room noise. We purchased stands to bring our mics closer to the talent and reduced gain accordingly. Would definitely recommend these over other USB mics at this price point.

THis is my first microphone and I love it ...great quality of the material it was made of, you have a front Dial to regulate volume, my students are thrilled. Perfect in size for me, since I travel a lot, also so you can move freely without having a big headset with micro on your face ... brrr ;-) this is my ideal part of my set as a teacher for Zoom classes. I've been using this Rode NT-USB mic for a couple of months now and love it. The sound is orders of magnitude better than the built-in Microphone on my Mac Studio Display. I needed something for more professional video calls and voice-over work for some video editing I do. This microphone more than rises up to the challenge. It sounds fantastic. It works well with my Mac Studio, and I have not had any issues with it like I had with another popular microphone in this same category and price range. I sent the other one back and kept this one. Very good value for the price. The cord length allows me to snake it through an articulating microphone boom setup and over to my Mac Studio. I love the small, modern design of this microphone sitting next to my desk.

The first thing that comes to mind when handling this microphone is its weight. This little guy is deceptively heavy. That's due to its all metal framework. I'll never try it, but it really does feel like that if I tossed the mic across the room it wouldn't receive even a tiny scratch. Really impressive build quality for the price. For just $100 I wasn't expecting very much in the way of sound quality but I can say that it makes my friends, all of which own Blue products and other overpriced microphones, quite jealous. The way this mic handles plosives is great. A built in pop filter adds some serious value to an already excellently valued product. The sound is also crystal clear. What you hear through audio monitoring is also what the mic output sounds like. No dips or hiccups when it comes to output. The one complaint I do have about the overall package is its desk stand. While the desk stand is somehow ALSO tanky as hell, along with bearing a magnetic mount, It's always better to invest in a microphone arm. There are plenty of cheap ones on amazon, but given the fact that this microphone is EXTREMELY sensitive, I recommend buying a quality microphone arm with some sort of shock mount or pad to dampen vibration as the desk moves. Also buyer beware: This microphone has only one polar pattern and lacks the multiple polar patterns that more expensive microphones have. That being said, this microphone was designed specifically for casual use, but delivers the cardioid polar pattern just as good as competing brands. If this is a deal breaker for you, I apologize. Otherwise, the RODE NT USB MINI is a fantastic low cost, highest quality option for people in the market for such a thing. Whether it be for studio recording, streaming, or just sweaty gaming. This little monster does it all better than the rest.

I've seen several reviews for this microphone that complain about the fact that the reviewer has to be close to it to obtain adequate volume. That is exactly what makes it a great microphone. A good microphone is not one that picks up any and all sounds around it, but one that picks up what you want it to pick up and discards everything else. And this one excels at that. If you have problems with surrounding noises obscuring your voice or whatever you're recording, this is the microphone you need. It's a cardioid mic, which means it is much less sensitive to sounds that are not directly in front of it. The sensitivity of this mic also falls off quite rapidly -- the official manual says the optimal distance for speaking into this mic is six inches or less -- which means that it's excellent at not picking up sounds that aren't directly in front of, and close to it. It is also very, very good at not picking up sounds transmitted through its body -- so if you accidentally tap it or have it sitting on your desk next to a keyboard while you type, those noises will be very attenuated, if not inaudible. The audio quality is outstanding. If you care about sounding good, this mic will exceed your expectations. The build quality is phenomenal. It's built like a tank, if Apple made tanks. This thing is solid. It's also beautiful -- it looks like a very high-class, well-designed, and sophisticated piece of equipment -- which it is. The button on the front, to toggle the headphone output, is the most tactile button I have ever had the pleasure of pressing. The button's actuation force is high enough that you'll never press it by accident, and the click is crisp and solid. The one missing feature I would have appreciated is a mute button. In these days of ubiquitous surveillance and spyware, every microphone should come with a hard-wired off switch. But other than that, this is one of the best products I have ever bought.

I was asked to do a revised read on a voicer while I was away from home. I didn't want to spend a ton on a mic or rent studio time, so after reading and watching some reviews, I narrowed my selection down to the Rode NTUSB Mini. The built in DSP has 4 simple settings - noise gate, compressor, aural exciter and big bottom. There are no adjustments, but I found the presets to be quite satisfactory. I used three of the four and I was so pleased with how my voice sounded that I will be using this as my go to mic for voice overs. I didn't know a USB mic could sound this good. I wanted the mic up close to my mouth, which the short desk stand doesn't lend itself to, but I just placed it on something to elevate it. At home I will mount it on my mic boom arm. It comes with an adaptor for mounting. The compact size makes it easy to take with me on the road, especially with the third party case I also found on Amazon. There is a headphone jack on the back of the mic with a level control on the front that is plenty loud for monitoring during the recording. I am really happy with this purchase.

タブレットに接続して使ってみたけれど、普通に録音するより雑音や環境音がぐっと減った。 叫び声みたいな大きな音は音が割れたりするけど、ただの通話や歌の録音とかだったら何も問題ないし、とても良いマイクだと思う。

Non sono un esperto di microfoni ma conosco la qualità ed affidabilità di RODE. Ho preso questo microfono per avere un miglioramento dei miei audio messaggi parlati. Pur conoscendo davvero poco del settore e con un piccolo aiuto di Gemini sono riuscito in pochissimo tempo a settarlo per eseguire delle registrazioni che poi ho inviato ad amico esperto che mi ha confermato l'ottima qualità del file audio ricevuto. Quindi personalmente sono soddisfatto, sicuramente c'è di meglio ma già così credo sia un'ottimo acquisto ! Ah dimenticavo, come suggerito da Gemini quando registrate, collegate delle cuffie per sentire il ritorno della vostra stessa voce in cuffia ! E' fantastico l'effetto !
