Super nice. I’m gonna be honest I thought it was going to be made of plastic and typical Chinese quality but I was mistaken. The hardware is beautiful the fit with the stock parts is spot on. And it’s cnc billet aluminum. Very impressed 100% worth the money.

WARNING TLDR; 4/5 stars, the docked star is for lack of instructions, cheap breather bolts (they’re fine, just lower quality), and the oil guides have super tight tolerances. The install was fine once I was able to look at it. Here’s a super QUICK RUN DOWN for those needing help. 1. REMOVE old air box, down to the gasket separating your throttle body (TB), including the 14mm breather bolts in the heads. They’re loctite in there so they’re a little tough but be easy and they come right out. 2. THIS IS THE IFFY PART, take the oil guides (the metal things that look like keys) and line the narrow edge up with the opening of the intake where it would be seated if it fit correctly. Then apply pressure and using the rubber end of a hammer (not the head or anything metal) tap the guid into place. Then you will need to find a bolt, nut and two washers to use as a clamp to finish seating the guide. Thread the bolt through the washer then through the ear of the intake and through the last washer, tighten the nut slowly until everything is pressed into place. Remove bolt combo and repeat on other side. The end result should be flat with the face of the backplate and borrow for oil vapor to travel through 3. You’ll need access to the three Allen bolts that attach the new intake to the new TB so, REMOVE the three Allen bolts holding the air cleaner in position on the NEW UNIT (I recommend using loctite on all six Allen bolts upon reassembly) 3. Now that you have the face and the filter of the new unit off, MOCK UP the new intake by loosely screwing in the TB bolts a few threads, allowing movement. Then take the two large breather bolts and push them through 1 of the 4 large washers, then through the black cylinders and through the second large washer. Loosely screw the breather bolts a few theads in. 4. Now go back to the TB bolts and tighten each one a little bit at a time, while checking the breather bolts, screwing them in slightly and slowly as well. You will have to wiggle the intake a little to get everything to line up but it does line up. 5. SANDWICH the air filter between the intake face and the back plate you just installed. Line up the holes and tighten the three Allen bolts DONE! NOTES 1. The description is whack, this is clearly being sold as cheap as possible by people who know nothing about the product or the application. Taking that into consideration, this kit fits all variants of XL883 and XL1200 EFI motors, so don’t be thrown by the Police bit. 2. I would advise bringing the breather bolts and the bolts that hold the plastic cover on down to your local Fastenal and getting better quality ones. Also blue loctite on everything on assembly. 3. I plan on replacing the plastic cover with either a piece of metal or a better piece of lexan and etching it. Other users reported the bolts back out and/or the cover cracks. Just nip it in the bud and do something different with it. At the end of the day I bought this knowing it was lowest bidder Chinesium and really only wanted the machined parts to work with. BUT the machined parts are actually quite nice other that the fitment issue with the guides. So Grade A Chinesium at least. I know most people are buying this because it’s the cheapest option on Amazon and that’s cool, me too. But another 20$ into this intake and it’s substantially better and not obviously from Amazon. At 50$ you’re still way under the name brand junk and have a nice intake that will last longer.

It did not come with the mounting hardware. So it is useless to me. Great.

Use locktite on the bolts. If you don't you'll lose them on the road. We tightened them up well, but Harleys shake. After 3 hours, I happened to check them, and one of the supports was completely gone, so now it only has 2. The others were loose. So I locktited them. After 5+ hours of riding, they haven't loosened.

Easy to instal, and it definitely helps the engine breathe more, I installed screaming eagle mufflers on my sportster and this air filter helps with regulating the airflow. Plus it looks badass.

Fell apart while putting on bike. Didn't make one mile b4 screws fell out. Ill put locktite n hope for best

This fits a 02 buell cyclone m2 beautifully. This is not plastic junk it's cnc aluminum very nice quality. Can't beat it for the money. Because u can't find air filters for a buell anymore but this works great.
