Work well with okay fragrence.
Purchase this cream as it had lidocaine and at least for me, it helped out. The sole of my feet where hurting bad all of a sudden and I had some Salonpas and it seemed to help. I wanted a cream version, as I didn't want to deal with the strips and first looked at Icy / Hot product, as that is the brand I was use to, but I didn't see the lidocaine ingredient in them. As Salonpas had lidocaine and it seemed to work, I searched for lidocaine cream and Bengay Lidocaine Pain Relief Cream appeared. At first, when I applied the cream, I was expecting the cold then hot sensation I get with Salonpas and Icy / Hot, but I didn't feel anything. I was debating whether to return this, as I thought it was a dud. However, overnight, the sole of my feet hurt less and I kept applying until my foot healed. I used it on other parts of my body that have aches and it helps out as well. Another thing I like about this product is the fragrance isn't as strong as Icy / Hot smell, but mild and decent. Overall I'll probably use this product going forward unless something else better comes along.

Sweet relief
For too long I’ve been suffering from aches and pains, most of the times I would find ways to pull my self through them. About 6 months it became too much to handle, it was so bad I could hardly sleep, concentrate or do the most simple tasks. Showering was painful, driving wasn’t safe so I didn’t, any hobby I had was a no go, no reading unless audio and even that was tough as I could hardly focus due to the pain. Physiotherapy didn’t help, painmeds (and I even received the bad boys norco), nerve meds, injections, massage, nothing brought relief. I’m now waiting for 2 epidural injections in my neck/spine, insurance companies are not really cooperating with the docs and I so I needed something to help me out as I wait for permission. In comes this wonderful cream. Granted that I do also still take my glucosamine, ginger, a course of prednisone and heat therapy which should help some too it wasn’t until this cream came in that I started to actually get relief from the pain. I went from an 8.9 (I reserve my pain levels 9 & 10 for pains I never want; the ones where you don’t care if you wake up the next day) to a 4-6. There are even days I feel a light 3.5. That’s so major ! I feel human again ! Focusing on what’s being said, not pacing around to find relief… nope I just rub on these cream, wash my hands and within minutes there’s sweet relief. Dreamy ! It’s not for long term for me, however after my injections, and hopefully two with great succes where I don’t need this cream anymore I will always make sure I have this with me. Oh and it smells divine!

Works but doesn't???
The tiger balm I switched it out for did a better job at relieving pain instantly. However throughout the day I did not have to reapply this product like I had to do with the tiger balm. Just took longer to relieve the pain. It also smells better and is not as strong as the tiger balm.

It's alright.
Bengay maximum strength is what my family uses. However, the smell is strong. So when I saw this product, I was thrilled to use it. Needless to say, it didn't have the same effect as the original Bengay. Yes, it did smell like jasmine. No, it didn't give the same pain relief that maximum strength gave. I will just stick with the original.

The only cream that works for pain
The lidocaine pain relief is great and one of the only thing that works on my back pain. I only miss that there’s only one scent option. It’s not my favorite, but since it works, it is going on me.
