Good UPS, Good Price
After a pair of not-very-old APC UPSes failed about three years ago, I replaced them with this Tripp Lite model. They've been working nicely. I just recently replaced another pair of UPSes with this model.

Well made rack mounted
Rack mounted gets the unit in place with option to use included pull out slides. Good value for money and backup power

TrippLite is negligent in advertising
Unit works great alone, as advertised. Added an external battery pack. The configuration utility to add the battery pack, per TrippLite support, does NOT work with this model, regardless of the fact its listed in the compatibility chart. They are aware of the issue and refuse to update ANY of their online or print information to inform the customer that there is no possibility of activating an external pack to work with the base unit. Supposedly it still utilizes the pack, but who wants to find out if it really does in an emergency? Just negligently pushing out products with a known compatibility issue and not even a thought to put a notice on the website where you download the utility or a notation in the item description on even their own website.

Quite loud, and received an old unit with out of date batteries.
Unit arrived well packed and double-boxed. The boxes were undamaged, but the unit had a dent in the back when unpacked. It is quite loud and emits a buzzing noise in addition to the cooling fan noise. I own several UPS systems by another manufacturer and they are silent. My real complaint is that as soon as I connected to this "new" unit through its web interface, it reported that the batteries were 4.1 years old. The unit is set by default to warn the user if the batteries are over three years old, at which point it recommends replacing them. I bought this as a new unit in March of 2015. The unit also indicated that it's initial power-on self test was January 31 of 2011. So it seems that I have purchased a very old piece of inventory with out of date batteries. I am contacting the manufacturer and will update this review accordingly depending on their response.

I didn't know better..
Haven't turned it on yet, since we don't have the correct outlet or circuit. It requires a 30 amp breaker, and a L-30 outlet. I went by some of the other comments and had our maintenance install an L-20 outlet, which obviously didn't work. I will edit this review after we get the electrician in here to upgrade our circuit. A bit frustrated, but in reading the specs it does mention the L-30, but also L-20, and L-15. Due to my complete lack of knowledge in the area of electricity, I didn't know better...

Great or price!
For this price it is a very nice box. I have been using it for over a month and the power has failes twice. This box have worked like a chanp. If needed I would buy another!

Unreliable
Failed after 3.5 years, just out of warranty. Worked fine up until recently -- unit died in the middle of the day with no power outage, and will not turn back on. It's toast.
