1.0 HP 5280 GPH Energy-Saving Above Ground Swimming Pool Pump, 115V with Strainer Basket, ETL & DOE Certified

Bought this one to replace an old pump. There are many other pumps that cost much more so I thought this would be a risk. It installed and wired easily since it was about the same size as the pump it replaced. I started using it in early June and it runs 20 hours a day. I have had no issues and works the same as my old pump.

Amazing pump but WAY too strong for my pool. I returned it but wish it would've been a good fit for my situation.

This thing sucks as good if not better than I hoped. For those DIY out there you can adjust and move the fitting to either side instead up just straight up. You have to open the lid take out the basket, remove the plastic clip, then pull off the housing. Then go to the other side of the pump where there are two screws, take them off, then take off the metal housing, then you'll find four screws placed evenly around the face inside, losen these four screws and pull them out about an inch and a half, when they are all loose put it to the position you want it then slowly move it back and forth looking for the hole with a screw. One you find one the others line up. Then just go backwards and put it back together. If anything negative happens with this pump I will update my review. Definitely worth the money!

I like the quiet motor the last pump was very loud. Great circulation, a price I can afford. However this pump gets to hot fast! Kicking the breaker I will purchase a different pump next season for now I don't feel safe allowing it to run for long periods of time. I made a mini umbrella (not in video) to shade the motor and I shut it down periodically to get me through this season (disappointing)

I have an oval 15x30 so I probably should have purchased more than 1hp for speeding up circulation around the entire pool but this works for the price. I'm sure this is perfect for any round pool. For me, 1.5 or 2 hp would have been best but I guess that's on me for not knowing any better. Only negative would be the skimmer basket. It goes on by dropping and then sliding over, similar to a kitchen garbage disposal so I find myself having to tap with a rubber mallet in order to loosen or properly tighten. Not a deal breaker but worth noting.

The product worked great until my husband went to clean the filter and the o-ring fell out when he was tightening it and broke the o-ring. I spoke with two people on the phone of the 800# that was given to me with no luck. Finally had to make a trip to a pool company and they tried to match it up but the pool pump is getting air in the pump. Also, the plastic screw on the pump stripped so now we are having issues with that. Would not recommend this product. It is to hard to get parts for it.

Miserable failure. 1. Less suction than half horse pump it replaced. Can not draw a 3foot column of water to prime itself like the half horse pump did. 2. Does not produce enough pressure to turn on heater. 3. Poor fit on the 1.5 inch inlet/outlet ports, had to use 20 windings of Teflon tape to get tight fitting. 4. Contacted seller through Amazon and nothing useful said by them in 2 days. Returning.

It is leaking as soon as we installed it . It doesnt work great and unfortunately, it messed up our pool party ! Do not buy it .
