Women's Plus-Size Oktoberfest Fraulein Costume

I love this costume! I ordered a 3x to make sure it would fit me. I'm 5'5, 200lbs, a 40dd, and i wear an 18 in jeans. I had to go with the 3x b/c of my waist measurement. Most costumes that include my chest size, won't fit my waist. This 3x was stretchy enough to accommodate. I love the low cut top. It gave me great cleavage even though it was a larger measurement than 40. The material is a bit thin, but nothing ripped. The embroidery on the bodice is very pretty and the pewter-looking buttons for the green ribbon laces make this look more authentic than just a costume. I received many compliments and many requests for pictures when I wore this at a beer festival. People said they preferred my more classic dirndl look compared to the other girls wearing the trampy costume versions at that event. I do like the trampy versions, tho. Those costumes are never in my plus size for me to enjoy. Anyway, the cleavage on this gives enough eye candy for me to be a bit of a tart and feel very sexy. My only complaint is that the skirt is way too long. It went just above my ankles. I wanted it at my knees or just below. I would have liked to show off some cute knee socks with bows. I guess at 5'5 I'm too short for the skirt. Also, the petticoat was very scratchy. I still wore it b/c it made the skirt look better. My nicer petticoat wasn't long enough

I've bought California Costumes before and they fit my body well, however this costume is made for a woman who has an hourglass shape. If you are a different body type and/or thick around the middle don't even think about buying this type of costume. I'm a size 22/3x, this costume fit as I expected. The corset like top does not stretch so take that into account. It has a zipper in the back. It shows a lot of cleavage. I don't have a problem with that. If you do then you'll have to try to cover it up. The way it's constructed and the black color creates a slimming effect. I didn't use the pettiskirt, its very scratchy. The apron looks good but is not as wide as in the product pic. The material is on the thin side but the dress is well made. The colors make it look festive. The California Costumes brand has better materials and better made than other brands. It was a hit at the our local Oktoberfest celebration. I received multiple compliments from so many people. The older German ladies (and men) loved it. It's not an authentic Dirndl, but looks close enough to the real thing and a bit sexier. I had a great time wearing this costume. I was even pulled up on stage by the Festmeisters to do the Chicken dance! Zicke Zacke, Zicke Zacke, Hoi Hoi Hoi!

I ordered a size larger than I normally would have, and it fit PERFECTY! If I have any advice, it's definitely do what I did, or you'll be sending it back for the next size up... that said, quality for the price is awesome! Style is lovely, feminine, sexy, but not too revealing. Details like the buttons and embroidery are charming too! It comes with a bustling skirt/ tutu that bolsters beneath the outermost skirts which is a plus, however, the texture is scratchy- but nothing pants hose or leggings can't shield. The one part is you may need help reaching the zipper that runs from mid back to neck. All in all, good purchase despite the little nit-picks!

I like that this one had enough room for my chest area. I wasn't crazy about how much cleavage I was rocking though as I'm no longer in my 20's lol. But it's not too bad so I'm definitely keeping it. The materials are nice. Other than the ribbon on the front. Very flimsy ribbon. And the petty coat is a bit of a joke. Very uncomfortable. If you are wearing this for a long period of time or have sensitive skin I would recommend getting a different petty coat. That's not what I was mostly concerned with though so it's not an issue for me. I still really like this. I included pictures so you can see fabric and texture. The bottom of the dress has cute white lace around the edge.the apron is a Dee red velvet material. Btw I'm about a 2x and '5"8. Definitely 3 x on top though. So I ordered 3x and I'm glad I did.

I bought this after reading a previous review mentioning that it is flattering on hourglass shapes. Accurate, it is! I tend to be somewhere between 1-3x in dresses and bought the 3x. It’s a tad big, but may shrink in the dryer. I also sew, so tailoring is not out of the question. Anyway, for the price, the quality is outstanding, exceeded my expectations. It’s beautiful. Get yourself a flower crown and be the May Queen. Or Sie Bier Frau. This is also amazingly comfy, if you wear bike shorts, so the petticoat doesn’t scratch you all day.

This is such a fun dress! It fits true to size and cinches well at the waist so it is flattering as well for all sizes. There is a layer that goes under the skirt so it maintains the poofy appearance, and the string on the front also helps to define your figure. I have only worn it a few times and the bottom is a bit scratchy but well worth it for the price and quality.

Had a great time at a local Oktoberfest celebration wearing my dirndl costume. I saw several other ladies wearing the exact same one! The fit is about one size small as others have mentioned, but I ordered accordingly. It was comfortable and held up to an all day beer drinking event. I washed it afterward and it held up fine. The skirt and the white shirt are polyester and a little slick, but the bodice and apron were great. I did not wear the tulle under the skirt as it was a very hot day. Finally, be aware that it really is a costume. Still, worth the amount of money I spent to have a fun day out, drinking beer with friends!

I thought the costume was adorable! Sad to say my figure has somewhat rearranged. Too big in the boobs and too tight in the waist! I returned it for another to enjoy. !

It's good, its qite big- go down a size if you can. And when it was delivered it smelld like fried fish... but after having it outside for a few days and washed the items that can be washed it vanished! I won the best costume contest :) But i had beer-fake-tatoos and beer earrings!

I have a hard time finding costumes that fit properly and I have to say this is one of the best ones I ever had!!! I have an hourglass figure and I usually wear a size 22 waist, 3x in tops and have a D cup chest, in dresses I wear a size 18/20 though and the 3x size is just perfect in my case. Good quality material, good length (hits at the knee), not too revealing and perfect fit overall. The tule puffy underskirt is a bit itchy but it's to be expected and can be tolerated if wearing tights. The apron is narrower than what the picture indicates but it's still really nice. The apron strings are very long so there is no problem going around the waist. My only negative comment is that it's a bit expensive. The boyfriend finds it very sexy :) Cant wait to wear it out to a party!!!

Me gustó mucho, esta muy cómodo, lo recomiendo para todo evento en el que tengan que caracterizar con ese tipo de vestuario.
