The favorite of all mouth guards we have purchased! My daughter wears it for lacrosse and compared to all the others we have bought this one is by far the best! It’s small so she can communicate with the team, and moldable so it easily fits her mouth. Its not thick so she’s not running out of breath and can last longer.

Great! It was perfect for 7 year old lacrosse. She has teeth growing in and this allowed for refits as the teeth were coming in. Easy enough to use. Videos helped!

These 1-star reviews and photos of mangled mouthguards are clearly from people who didn't read instructions and did it wrong! We tried 2 other products before this one for my 9 year old son. Others were terrible fit, literally tore up his mouth. This one was SO easy. It took us 3 tries to get the perfect fit, only because of our learning curve with it. First try my water just wasn't hot enough it was too firm to mold. Second try he molded a bit off-center (you know, he's 9 and it takes a little practice). Third time was perfect. He loves that it stays in his mouth and doesn't hurt. I love that he's not chewing it to bits or tearing up his gums like the others that were the same price as this one! Will be buying more.

As a person formerly in the dental field, this product is certainly not worth 20 bucks at all. The shaping is cumbersome so I had to use my former life's skills to "round" out the curves that stick out to make it more comfy. After 4 tries, I got it to an acceptable form which is still a little loose but overall the arch shape is there. If you had a mold of the arch - then at least you have an easier time to reheat and cool but while on the model - winging it in the mouth is frustrating. Use boiled water in a bowl and about 30 secs is just about the perfect balance between softening and handling. Best you can do is first mold the basic shape. Once set, keep the child biting down and look at how much you have to work to round out at the curve and then curl the back up to cover 1/3 of the cheek-side crown of the teeth. That's what will be the 2nd, 3rd and likely 4th to add finishing touches. Trying to isolate and dip the sections you want to "perfect". Maybe it's me trying to get office quality mold but if you're not good with this stuff, then look for a pre arched one and not this flat one. I only got this because it was "recommended" by the coach but from my view - not good. Best option but most expensive is the dentist, but replacing broken teeth is much much more so weigh the options. I gave it a shot, this is my review for what it's worth....

Nice and light while getting protective. However, it took two tries to get the shape right in my son, and even then the issue was the size is too small. He's an 11 year old that 95lb and a few inches from 5' tall, but the small didn't cover his back teeth and the perforations ended up under his teeth. We're picking up a medium, but returning the first one isn't an option so I feel the sizing recommendation is off.

My 8 year old plays travel hockey and we have always struggled with finding a mouth piece he was comfortable with. Trying to heat mold one the old fashion way- forget it...... "its too hot dad' its not comfortable dad"! Finally saw these in our local pro-shop so I started looking into them. Buying this mouthpiece was a great purchase. My son loves it, it is much more comfortable to him than any other mouth piece we tried over the last few years.

These are great! I got the size small for my 6 and just turned 9 year old for wrestling. They couldn't breathe or drink with their other mouth guards and would not wear them. It took me and my 6 year old about 5 tries to get the mouth guard formed properly, but even she was able to work with me to do it. My 9 year old only took two tries. They both like them and have no problem wearing them. Also love all the colors, I was able to buy them each one in their favorite color. Since they are still losing and growing teeth, I love that we can reform these many times too! Also, water temp is important! Use a meat thermometer. The temp on the package is like 160-170 F I believe. NOT boiling. Any cooler than the 160 and it won't warm enough to form right. Just read the directions and watch SISU's YouTube video before you start.

Mouth doesn't close enough

After about 10 other gumshields tried, this one fits! My 9 year old son has a small mouth and a mixture of milk teeth and very awkward adult teeth - he's in that no school photo phase! 😂 Well, we've tried gumshields from all the other brands - various Opro, safe Jaws, generic non branded ones and we were almost giving up hope and forking out for a dental custom fit one. Then we found these and after attempt no 3 we got a fantastic fit! It stays in place He can talk with it in He can drink with it in He's over the moon. If you make a mistake first time round, just pop it back into the water and it will flatten out again. If you need to remould a certain part just dip that part into the water. It's also worth pointing out that the water isn't boiling like the other types (60-70°c) so your not scalding your kids gums! I'll be recommending these to everyone on his team!

Absolutely brilliant. Takes a bit more effort to mould than pharmacy brand guards but worth the time. Light, comfortable and allows you to breathe. Will be ordering more to keep stashed in the gym bag.
