good wide angle, average but slow in low light, died after 1 year.
edit (april 2025, bought june 2024): dead less than one year later of use indoors. Tonight it just fried itself causing my computer to crash and not be able to even boot until I unplugged the USB webcam (which is very dead). Good while it lasted, but that was brief.I bought this camera primarily because was advertised as good in low light for wide angle. It's definitely good for wide angle. For low light it's nothing special. To see anything you have to set the exposure time to 5000 and then the effective framerate is 2/s. At least it's a true UVC camera that outputs standards compliant datastreams unlike some popular webcam brands. They also listened and added a heatsink to the chip on back. I haven't had the issues with overheating and dropped frames other reviews have mentioned.

Good camera for the price
Solidly built camera. I’m using mine for an aiming camera for my 40watt laser and Lightburn. I’ll need to get a different lens since the current one is wider angle than I needed

Bought 3 though 1 seems defective (?)
These units are exactly what we're looking for and are good for the price. However, one of the three units has a lower frame rate running the same computer vision software after about 3 or 4 months of use. Still seems to operate like normal but with all things being equal the frame processing speed is slower for whatever reason.

Awesome macro Camera
This webcam is insane! This webcam features a very good macro camera that can zoom in to the individual pixels on a smartphone.

Fisheye camera with WDR functionality that was not thought through
The main feature that this camera has is WDR. I have tried to run a couple of comparison tests with my IPhone camera (a model with a wide dynamic range camera) and it looks like they work similarly in low-light conditions. Will test more and update my review (with screenshots possibly). One disadvantage is that this camera is a bit pricey.Update: when I tried to record long video files I started having freezes (video feed is replaced by a colored previous frame for a few seconds). I think it's due to overheating: the sonix chip (red circle in the image) gets very hot - I cannot keep my finger on it even for a few seconds. Also, it seems that the integrated circuit is missing a chip (yellow circle in the image below). Maybe that's why it overheats so much? Also, now that one of the reviewers mentioned I realized how much noise there is in the video shot on this camera, comparing to other cameras that I have.Overall, the camera is expensive to tolerate the flaws that it has: it feels like a prototype, not a finished product. I am considering returning it.
