I think you will find this will end up dangerous. Whilst the net will be suitable / strong enough the angle of the net means those field hockey balls are going to be heading back to you at groin height!! Increasing the angle of attack will not help as you will hit the frame if the ball rolls along the deck... I think the only way this could work is if a ball was manually thrown at the net as then an element of control might be possible...

How big was the package was when it arrived? I will be travelling home on an aeroplane and am wondering if it would fit in a suitcase when dismantled
