Beautiful delicious cookbook!
Sami Tamimi takes us on a culinary journey of Palestine. The recipes are enjoyable and easy. My family loves hosting and our guests were absolutely delighted by the dishes we made from Sami's book.

Great Food Memories!
Wonderful! The photographs made it a personal story. The food reminded me of my Teta (gran). I am loving trying out the recipes.

A wonderful cookbook
Falastin is a glorious cookbook filled with delicious recipes (the Hassan easy eggs! The ful medames! The baked tomato/okra/halloumi!). For the most part not too complicated to make and with only a few, recurring specialty ingredients such as tahini, zaatar or pomagranate molasses (this is a departure from other Ottolenghi et al. books). I also gave a copy to my Palestinian-born godmother who loiks forward to rediscovering her culture through this book!

excellent alternative to the books by O.
This is my favourite book on the Palestinian kitchen aside from Palestine on a Plate and Baladi and Zaitoun. WHile everyone is raving about Ottoleghi, I find this book much more approachable, with easier recipes, faster to cook, enjoyable for everyone. Plus unlike the aforementioned author, Sami Tamimi gives credit where credit is due!
