I originally bought this for dry and irritated skin, but it turned out to be one of the most useful products I’ve ever purchased. I love Aquaphor Healing Ointment! It’s great to use on all skin types and even fresh tattoos to help the healing process while not losing any color. It’s thick & a little bit goes a long way to keep your skin healthy and moisturized and also helps prevent razor burn when used right after shaving on all areas of your face and body. It is odorless and great for skin irritation and diaper rash along with other skin conditions that can occur like cracking and raw places. They also make an Aquaphor Baby that is used specifically for diaper rashes and is gentle enough for newborns. It doesn’t leave a greasy feel on skin as you expect it to and other ointment does. It is also great for layering it over prescription creams that are hard to keep in place and from rubbing off on your clothing which allows the prescription creams to continue working for longer periods of time. I use it on my freshly shaved skin and on my arms & bikini area after every shower and my skin has never been smoother and healthier. I also have tattoo sleeves on both arms and after using this for the healing process of fresh tattoos, it keeps my tattoos looking brand new and darker and prevents fading when I use it after showering. It’s a great price for the size tube you get because a little bit goes a long way so it lasts longer than other skin moisturizers. I love it!

I also purchased cotton gloves from Amazon which I use at night to help the Aquaphor to absorb into my skin and not get on my bedding. It’s really not greasy. I have sensitive skin. We’ve been using Aquaphor ointment for many years and have always been happy with the product itself. However, our last two purchases came with the newer packaging design, and the cap has become a major disappointment. The previous cap design worked perfectly, but the new one uses a cheap plastic hinge that breaks almost immediately—sometimes after just one use. It doesn’t require excessive force or mishandling; the hinge simply snaps during normal use. This has become a recurring issue and an unnecessary headache. The ointment itself still works exactly as intended, which is why we’ve remained loyal customers for so long. I just hope the design team considers bringing back the old cap or using a more durable material. A great product deserves better packaging.
