Good pair of sandals zero
Very comfortable I’ve bought these before they always last me a year which I’m happy with because I’m always outside working in the yard, fishing, camping or even running errands in them. Every type of sandal like this will start to smell and pull cords loosen and stretch so paracord will fix string and a diluted bleach spray works also. I just feel for about $100 it’s worth buying knowing that they will last about a year. I’ve wanted to extend wearing them another year but tbh they hold sweat and my wife throws them away because smells up our closet even after thoroughly bleaching and using fabric sprays on them but it’s not brand specific as I’ve had every pair of outdoor hiking sandals just reek of salty foot. I live on Lake Huron and wear sandals daily when it’s warm enough and my favorite are Keen, owned probably every type and brand Keen seems to be more comfortable durable and the best brand out there for sandals. For people upset about smell you can probably prolong them by using foot deodorants but tbh I could care less I’m married have a kid last thing I’m worried about is a nice smelling pair of sandals. I work in our garden in these, mow lawn chase after a toddler and these fit my lifestyle perfectly. They are well made my feet are average width for 11 1/2 shoes I buy 12 in sandals and these fit perfectly not snug or loose. Just order a half size up and you’ll be fine.

Perfect comfort hiking sandal
I ordered these in preparation for a summer trip. I have had keen boots and several Newport sandals, as well as competing mid- and high-end brands, so I have a pretty good baseline for judgment. My overall review is they are great (superior, even) for the price. I spent about a month hiking through 4 national parks in WA (Olympic and N. Cascades), MT (Glacier), ND (Badlands) and MI (throughout the Upper Peninsula). Not hard core hiking up to mountain peaks, but substantial walking/hiking through trails and some rough terrain. I didn't use them in water (like you can do with the Newports), but almost as hiking shoes, often with socks. Pros: I have pretty wide feet, and my bridge is very high, so I often have trouble finding comfortable shoes. These things are super comfortable. The sole is very soft, so it bends easily. Yet, it's also rugged, so you have a pretty decent grip. The sandals are wide enough for most people, yet not extremely wide. The adjustable laces and elastic upper allow you to tailor it to your foot's width and height. Although the inner soles are a bit thin, they offer enough support for moderate hiking. Cons: I suppose the cons derive from some of the pros. When compared to the Newports and other more rugged sandals, these feel too soft. I don't know the long term durability of the sole, but I imagine that comfort has to come at a price. Other than that, I have no complaints. Overall, I think the Arroyo II are a fantastic sandal, especially if you get them for under seventy dollars, like I did. They are comfy, yet offer support and enough grip for light to moderate hiking. You can wear them barefoot or with socks. Consider them a very light hiking shoe. They seem durable enough. I think I will order a new pair when these wear out.

These will do.
These are pretty decent shoes at a reasonable price. I am kind of hard to fit. Probably I need something like a 16.5 narrow, which I have never found. 16s tend to be just a hair too short, but also almost always too wide, and there aren’t that many choices. These Keens, when cinched up as tight as they go, work for me. And that’s good, since I like to wear sandals at least part of almost every day. These have a pretty stiff sole, which I personally like. They’re pretty stable and have pretty good traction which I also like. They don’t have a lot of padding between my foot and the stiff sole, and that could be better. I’m probably going to experiment with some insoles or something (which might also help with the need to pull the as tight as I can.) But even though the hard soles hurt my feet a bit, they do not aggravate my plantar fasciitis, my Achilles tendinitis, or my Morton’s neuroma, so that is a resounding success. They say they’re waterproof. I’m not sure I believe that, and probably won’t intentionally test it. The way they are shaped I don’t think the water would naturally drain out, and the leather seems unlikely to do well with sustained immersion. Actually, in large part because I am satisfied with the fit of these, I am considering getting some Keen Newport 2 water sandals for use in the water. (It looks like those are softer too, which might help my comfort, though perhaps it would make them less durable as hikers than the Arroyos.) I’ve had these a month or two and, as I said, worn them part of every day, and sometimes all day. I’ve walked a few miles in them on pavement a few times, as well as on wet wood, and they are doing great. They are wearing fine so far, with just some slight wear showing on the bottoms. Probably also relevant - since getting these I have started to follow the Keens Facebook page, so I guess that makes me an official convert. Update: I did try adding insoles - the work great and make for a more comfortable feel. I also bought some Newport 2s. These should be decent water shoes, but I find the stiff heel on the Arroyos and their general good stability far better for walking, especially in rougher terrain. And the stiffer soles will likely hold up better on rocks and even pavement. I almost upgraded these to 5 stars. Maybe I should, but I did have to add insoles to get to that level of satisfaction.

Keen is the best and these are great.
The best all around footwear for general purposes. I do not hike in them though. They have a removable foot bed that allow use of orthopedic inserts below it which makes all the difference if you need them I have bought three pairs. All are durable and all fit perfectly. Highly recomended. Keen is the best.

Comfy, attractive, built tough.
As I write this I am in Spain averaging beyond 15K steps per day. I just bought these a few weeks ago. I am a Keen fan. These can be worn with or without socks. They provide remarkable stability. People have commented on their looks. Sizing was “right on” per the purchasing guide. If past experiences with Keen play out these will go from almost daily use to crappy yard work use to the trash or re-purposing. Don’t worry about the price they’ll repay you and then some.

All-purpose footwear
Absolutely the best, most comfortable shoes I've ever owned! I'm talking about ALL of the pairs of Keen's Arroyo shoes I've owned, reaching back years. I'm hard on shoes. I like roaming the outdoors, and started wearing Arroyo shoes 25+ years ago. They look like dressy sandals, but they have a thick sole and comfy insole, so they feel more like sneakers. They hold up so well that I usually end up replacing the insoles long before I need to replace the shoes (sorry, Keen). I lived in northern PA for decades and wore them there, resorting to adding socks only in colder weather. Now I'm in my 80's and live in the south. My trusty Arroyos are used for fishing and everyday wear. But be advised, I keep two clean pairs just for shopping and other civilized activities with my better half. I'm not a complete troglodyte.

Nice Keens with a few caveats.
I walk 5 miles a day- rain, snow or shine and I love walking in sandals compared to shoes. I also like wearing sandals in all but the snow which we get very little of in the South. I love my previous Keens - Newport H2s- although I have has a recurrent problem with them wearing out prematurely where the heel strap attaches to the rest of the sandal. Look at the Amazon reviews for the Newport H2 and you will see others have the same problem even including pictures. Needing a daily walking sandal, I decided to try the Arroyo II since it has a completely different design which will hopefully fix the premature wear problem. They seem to be sturdy enough where the heel strap problem should never be an issue as it does not have one. This sandal is really rigid and feels more like an open shoe than a pair of sandals. Let me warn you now of sizing. In my High School and College days I sold shoes and know that my feet run 10.5 to 11 depending upon the brand. My previous Keens were 10.5s and fit perfectly, these feel like 11-11.5s despite the label. More curious, the Right sandal feels larger than the left which is something I have never experienced in my lifetime of buying shoes and sandals. As a result, there is no way to get a good snug fit in bare feet on these and even with Nike Athletic socks they are not ever as snug as they should be. If you are buying these to hike where a good snug fit is essential I would suggest you try before you buy- these are large for 10.5s and the sizing seems inconsistent from the left to the right sandal. Mine are made in Vietnam and I wonder if the quality control is as good as is should be- my Newports were 1 pair Made in USA and 1 pair made in Mexico and with fit perfectly for size. I plan on keeping these but am hoping for an exchange on my Newports that have the failed heel strap. These will never be as comfortable probably by design but should prove durable. Update: I am now seeing the same issue with the laces- the material is cheap and not up to the standards of my previous Keens. The material they are made from stretches and never properly tightens. Sad that I should have to buy a pair of Lock-Laces to replace the original ones that are not up to standard. If you want something more like an open show than a true sandal these are probably what you want. Update: I ordered a set of Lock Laces with a much higher quality cord material and it has improved the fit considerably. Sad I had to replace the laces on a new set of sandals, but the original laces are awful and of poor quality.

Gelungener Schuh

Perfekter Sommerschuh
