Ohuhu 8.3x8.3 Marker Sketchbook for Markers Drawing & Sketching

This sketchbook does exactly what it says it will do — and it does it very well. I tested it thoroughly with alcohol markers (Ohuhu), fineliners, coloured pencils and gel pens. The paper is beautifully smooth, so markers go down evenly and blend really well. Blending is easy, colours stay vibrant, and the surface doesn’t peel even when layering. It takes more working than you might expect for this weight of paper. There is a protective plastic sheet included to place behind your working page. In my tests, the alcohol markers did not bleed through to the next sheet — only to the back of the page I was working on (shown in my video). That’s completely normal for marker paper. Fineliners glide smoothly without feathering. Pencil draws easily and erases cleanly. Gel pens sit nicely on top without skipping. Everything behaves as intended because the surface is so consistent and smooth. Another feature I appreciate is that the pages can be removed cleanly if you want to display or scan your work. The sketchbook also lies flat if you want to work across two pages. Overall, this is a very forgiving paper — especially good for anyone starting out with alcohol markers. Highly recommended.

Surprising good for oil painting. This is the second time I have bought this. Have only recently used it for oil painting and it holds the paint smoothly and really well. Will be getting the double pack with a4 next time too. Really nice size and thick. Sketchbook holds flat once it gets a bit of wear. Will continue to go back to these! I have tried pretty much all media and it works ok. Watercolour is kinda bad for it but anything else is good.

Good quality paper for alcohol markers, blending is ok, but on different papers I had better, but never in a book option, so I’m happy anyways. It does bleed through when using darker colours. Overall I’m happy and would recommend it to any alcohol marker user

Very good sketchbook, my alcohol markers blend very easily with the paper and the paper is very thick so they still bleed but you don’t necessarily need a protective cover underneath. My biggest con is the book does not lie flat so when first starting out drawing on the left side you need something underneath to stabilise the book otherwise it will keep bouncing up and down as you draw. Indraw quite big so it is a good size for me personally, and will last a long time due to how many pages there are!

This sketchbook has smooth white paper that is perfect for marker pens. Pens blend well on the paper but don't forget to put the included plastic sheet under your working page because ink will bleed through. The book is heavy, weighing in at 1.25 kgs, so it's not one you would want to carry very far. The book is a hard back keeping your pages flat. There is an elastic strap to keep everything together.

Had this sketch pad sitting around for some time as I didn't get on with markers. Now that I enjoy watercolour pencils I find that this sketchbook is excellent. Unlike watercolour paint the pencils use very little water to activate them. This paper is ideal for inktense pencils which I use a lot. Its strong paper and allows the inktense pencils to show their true vibrancy. Much better then watercolour paper for watercolour pencils.

I've brought the A4 version of this notebook several times in the past - its the best I've ever found. The paper is thick, textured enough to make it easy to draw on, and pages are very sturdy. The books are worth the price and very hard wearing. The smaller square book is just as good as the A4.

My artistic granddaughter was thrilled with this for using her alcohol pens.

Perfect for alcohol markers

Hermosa presentación y buenos materiales. Perfecto, y a un precio muy sensato.

Fantastisk kvalite, både på utsidan och insidan. Det medföljer en plastskiva man lägger under sidan så att ingen färg blöder igenom. Grova papper som inte kornar sig eller läcker. De går även att dra loss om man vill det. Prisvärd är bara förnamnet. Utan tvekan det bästa papper jag har målat på! Har prövat allt från markers, gelpennor, akvarell, kol... Allting fungerar.
