My wife loves it for her chardonnay

My husband is a wine obsessed man and he has every wine gadget on earth. So when these came out, I bought them for him. He LOVES them. I bought him one of each kind and he said they really do enhance the wine. He has told everyone he knows about them and wants to buy another set.

These are fantastic wine glasses for cabernet sauvignon

I got the chardonnay glass. The brand and the word "chardonnay" were etched on the bottom of the glass. They also have glasses for other varietals like cabernet, pinot noir, sauvignon blanc and more. They kind of look similar. the etching does help to distinguish one from the others. It came in beautifully designed box that protect the glass and at the same time look attractive enough for gifting. The glass is very thin and clear. It is bigger and taller than the regular wine glass. Looks impressive on the table. Very beautiful wine glass. It is quite expensive but I think I am going to get the rest of the set since they look so cool. :) Update: 5/28/2021 I had this Chardonnay glass for 9 months now. I have been using it about once a week for all kinds of wine, not just Chardonnay. It is still looking like new. One time I almost knock it off the counter and risk breaking it. I learned my lesson. I always hand wash it with care after use and dry it right away and put it back into the cabinet to keep it safe. If you love wine, you will love this glass. Just need to handle with care.

I liked the wine glass but it’s very delicate. I cleaned it with a sponge and it shattered. It is very thin and I would suggest using it with the utmost care when washing it or handing it. Wine definitely does taste better in a Riddell let’s for sure!!!

This is without a doubt the most unique wine glass I've used, and the whole Winewings line from Riedel is quite unusual. I bought a couple of the other stems besides this Chardonnay glass but my preference is for this one as I don't particularly care for the others. Does this really improve the wine? The wide base serves to aerate it to help it develop in the glass, and the giant size makes it super easy to swirl the wine. In that sense it does improve it (assuming you've poured a wine that improves with air) but the advantages are offset by the size and weight of the glass which make it rather awkward to use. Some have commented on how delicate these glasses are, but while they are a lot nicer than something like Libby glasses, ones from manufacturers like Grassl, Zalto and Gabriel are way more elegant and delicate (and for me, more practical). Another drawback is the large size facilitates warming of the wine. Good if it is poured too cold, but not as good if you're drinking in a warmer room. I also don't think this glass is really particular to Chardonnay. You can use it for anything. It's a great conversation starter and as a wine glass, it is worth trying.

Sadly I am not a qualified wine snob, however, I do know when a wine glass brings an atmosphere and the occasion made even more special and enjoyable. This is a beautiful, unique glass with a real function to help the flavor and aroma of the wine in the wider bottom of the glass from other glasses. I also can NOT resist dipping my finger in the wine and running it around the rim to hear the glass sing to me. Has a comfortable and lovely stem and I feel like royalty drinking my good wine both the reds and the whites in premium quality Riedel German-made stemware.

Das sind sehr schöne Weingläser. Bei der Transport ist leider bei ein Glas eine Stiel abgebrochen. Die Firma Palatina hat es aber anstandslos und ohne Kosten ersetzt. Vielen Dank nochmal !!

La construcción a maquina es muy buena. El cristal es bastante fino y los aromas de madera se distinguen bien. No tiene problemas de estructura al ser a máquina y se lava muy bien en el lavaplatos. Sin embargo no es nada mágico como nos venden con la teoría. Probada con un chivite 125 chardonnay y no noto diferencia con una copa vela genérica, aparte de resultarme mas o menos agradable visualmente.

Die Qualität hat mich absolut überzeugt. Verarbeitung, Material und Ausführung sind auf einem sehr hohen Niveau und zeigen, dass hier mit viel Sorgfalt gearbeitet wurde. Für mich ist das eine echte Meisterarbeit. Der Preis ist zwar nicht günstig, aber angesichts der gebotenen Qualität absolut gerechtfertigt. Wer Wert auf hochwertige Verarbeitung und Langlebigkeit legt, bekommt hier ein Produkt, das seinen Preis verdient. Klare Empfehlung!
