DR Handmade RDB45 Red Devils Medium Electric Bass 4 String Set (45-105)

If you have a black bass- you need Red Strings! They look incredible !!

I play a Schecter Stiletto Custom-4 and love it. These strings are the only strings I'll buy. They last forever (Their tone stays the same for months), they sound and feel naked (I don't like Elixer strings, for instance, because they sound a little muddy and feel almost as smooth as flatwounds, but these sound and feel like regular strings except they stay sounding almost brand new for months) and lastly they look badass.The color wears off long before the tone, however, and string cleaning solutions assist in that (especially with isopropyl alcohol), but the don't look tacky; the worn in look is actually attractive, in my opinion.

Straight out of the pack, the g-string was dead. So now I've got three strings that will stay bright for months and one that sounds like it's been there for years. I've read about this problem with DR coated strings but figured it was probably luck of the draw and I'd try a set anyway.QA can't always be perfect but this seems to be a pattern.I was about to try the Black Beauties on another bass but not after this. I suppose this is why you seldom see these in stores anymore.
