The Search is Over - Great for Culinary Professionals & Home Cooks Alike
As anyone who has worked in the industry can attest, searching for that happy medium of design quality, comfort, durability, and price is almost impossible when it comes to aprons and uniforms in general for BOH staff. What is available is usually like dating later in life (intelligent, attractive, kind, emotionally stable - pick 3). Well today is your lucky day. Call off the search party, give those doggos with the K9 units a break; punch that ticket and have your customs declaration form ready because you've reached your final destination. These are definitely the droids you've been looking for. Skeptical at first, but coming in at under $30 I had to give one of these a spin to see how they held up in my fairly intense work environment (12-14hr days, 5 days/week working anything from saute, fry, noodle, large project prep, or the ever infamous ring of fire wok station). I've been nothing but happy and impressed. These babies are cool, fairly lightweight without sacrificing durability, perfect pockets for my notepad, pens/sharpies, long ties that come around and tie off in the front (huge for chefs), cellphone or other work knickknacks I need throughout the day. The look is refined casual - perfect for the restaurant I work at. I get compliments from guests and coworkers, guys and gals alike. They've held up very well for over a year with oftentimes at least 2x launderings/week, many which involve OxiClean. I've since purchased 2 more for myself as well as extras for my sous chefs. And with Mother's Day 2019 coming up next week, you can bet your best gyuto that she's getting a couple this year, too. Of course, these aren't perfect - and that's totally okay. At times I wish the cotton fibers were a little more polished/more tightly woven. The rectangular metal ring that allows for an adjustable neck strap is large such that the straps can move around a twist in the wash (one of mine has twisted like a mobius strip and I don't know how to straighten it again so that it lies flat and flush. Should be simple to fix, but trust me this one time it isn't.). Wouldn't be appropriate at some of the higher-end restaurants I've worked at in the past, but hey we're still talking $30 here. But honestly, these are small gripes since the next best/upgraded option is Hedley & Bennet and I REFUSE to pay $90 for an apron that's fate is sealed like the Spartans at Thermopylae - heroic, yet inevitable. I'd MUCH rather have 3 of these than 1 apron from Hedley. (And you butchers & fishmongers out there should know better that aprons like these aren't for your degree of messy work anyway. Sorry.) This will be my apron of choice unless I choose to return to the fine dining scene. TL;DR - 4.5 Stars. Extremely happy and pleasantly surprised. I recommend these aprons to everyone I know now who is looking for a new apron. At this price point, you would be hard pressed to find another apron that even comes close.

Love these aprons.
I bought 2 of these aprons back in 2024. I work in a kitchen and wanted a couple of aprons. I loved the fact the have the towel holder. I always have a towel hanging from that and I always keep an extra towel in the pocket because it is big enough to keep a hand towel. My only issue is the metal ring on the neck strap broke after so many washes so now I have to have the neck strap tied in a knot. No big deal really. They are great quality for an apron. They have not gotten holes from the amount of time I have washed them. I have washed them once a week for almost 2 years. I am going to buy a couple more of these aprons. I also use a viper cutter at work one with a box cutter. I attached it to a carabiner with a retractable cord hooked to the towel strap with on my apron so I always have it on me. Someone at.my work when they first saw me with that apron actually asked me where I got it from and I sent him the link for it. He got himself a few of these aprons.

My favorite apron
I’m a baker who is 4’11, pretty petite. It is extremely difficult for me to find good quality aprons that don’t end below my knees, and make it uncomfortable to work. This is truly my favorite apron. It’s a good size, good quality material, and just looks nice! I have to adjust the neck strap all the way tight for me to be comfortable but it’s not restricting at all, and overall the apron is lightweight. I love the towel loop, my favorite feature in an apron. I got the black to stay neutral at work but I will definitely buy more and in different colors. I’ve actually had it for a couple years now and (with proper care) the black hasn’t really faded too much, but I have yet to have any tears or rippage. Highly recommend!

Great basic and high utility apron
Love the color of the apron (grey) and definitely sturdy fabric construction - could be used for painting or light woodworking, but also nice and soft/flexible enough to be used daily in the kitchen like I do. I'm fairly short (5'1) and the neck strap adjusted on the smaller side makes it fit great, I don't find a problem with the length of the overall apron either or feel like it was oversized. The pocket are great, but the towel loop is the detail I like the most. I've been living without a towel loop until now, but I also always misplaced where my towel went. I did notice that if the neck strap is adjusted so the buckle is on the back of your neck it was noticeable (but not sharp) when I turned my head. It's only a small length of where the buckle may land on the back your neck, so even if it bothers you, I don't think that it would cause any significant problems to have the neck a little longer or shorter.

Great apron!
It's surprisingly hard to find an apron that: 1. Is comfortable 2. Looks decent 3. Is actually made of cotton 4. Is just an apron and not trying to be something it's not, like a Jackson Pollock painting I'm 6' and 200lbs, this thing fits like a glove. The bottom hangs to just above my knees with the neck strap pulled a little tight to cover to my collar bones. For the other reviewers on here saying it's not long enough... Seriously, are you Kareem Abdul Jabar? If you're wanting something from collarbone to feet, look at butcher's aprons. I didn't notice any shrink when I washed it, so just use cold water wash instead of being a bad and washing this in hot water. Also, a couple reviewers talk about the metal doohickey in the neck strap. Really? It's well made and you don't even notice it back there. If you're bothered by the metal thingy, you're probably also someone who hasn't noticed the smoke pouring out of the oven. Overall, it's a great apron, especially at this price point. Grab it, (cold) wash it, and love it with all the food spatters you can make (OK, maybe this can become a Jackson Pollock painting after all...).

Fantastic apron!
Love this apron! Bought 2 -- one grey & one black for myself & my husband. Love the extra long waist tie that allows you to double wrap and tie in the front The 3 pockets are perfectly placed & sized -- one small/narrow for a thermometer or tasting spoon, one larger breast pocket and an even larger waist pocket. It gets better... the towel loop! Also love that the adjusting hardware for the neck loop is metal, not plastic. They do shrink a bit in the dryer -- I'd recommend a hang dry if your partial to the longer length. The length it shrunk to is about perfect for me (5'6"), but my 6'4" husband wishes it wouldn't have shrunk. If I could change one thing, it would be to have the neck loop attached at the outer edge of the apron; It's current attached about 1" inside and I feel like it pulls oddly at times -- Not enough for me to take away any stars though. Again, love this apron! Will definitly buy it again but I don't feel I'll be needing another for quite a while as it is very sturdy & well made.

It's just okay.
My daughters, both very good cooks, have tried my apron, and they agree with me that the towel loop is just silly. No one needs this. The waist tie, which is tight against the apron, is a much better place to hang your towel than a loose piece of webbing. Another large pocket, on the other hand, would be useful. Looks to me like someone was looking for a way to cut a few cents from the unit cost and came up with the idea of eliminating the second large pocket and stitching on a little strap. And calling it an added feature. Makes me a little suspicious of some of these reviews. Also, one of the metal rings always seems to rest on the neck, and that makes it a little uncomfortable. The fabric could be a little heavier, but it's adequate. Other than that, it's an okay apron.

Not worth the money
The apron is okay but definitely not worth the money. Yes it's 100% cotton but it's very thin cotton and not the thicker cotton twill you would expect at this price. I'm not sure how this apron will cope after a few washes but we will have to wait and see. The fit is okay but no better than other aprons I've bought costing a third to half the price of this one. Quite disappointed. Update 24/01/2023: After a year of use and regular washing (quickwash cycle) the colour hasn't faded too much I'm pleased to say. It does the job but I still wish that the cotton twill fabric was thicker.
