Fantastic: It did the job very well for 4 USB 3.0 & 2.0 Disk Drives. I have a couple of hubs, and for some reason they won't run external USB Drives. So, I was looking for something that works. I read the specs for many hubs on Amazon and E-Bay and a LOT of them had something in the 'fine print' about "won't work with WD Passport drives, or abc drives, or xyz drives"... I didn't get it. After lots of Web research the bottom line is: the hub's quality and design, etc. Several folks recommended trying this Belkin 4 Port hub with Power supply. I took it out of the box, plugged in the AC adapter, and 4 WD/Seagate USB Drives and they all worked 100% at USB 3.0. Then, I tested some older WD USB 2.0 drives, and they all play very well together. I'm ordering another one of these so I'll wind up with 6 USB 3.0 and 2.0 drives, both AC powered and USB powered all playing well together on my Alienware 18x Win-8 Pro machine.

my computer has three USB ports but unfortunatley they are under the screen, which means I have to lift up the computer to remove or insert anything. This exter allows me 4 ports at a very convenient location so that I can select a USB port easily. No problems works very well.

I have a non-retina 2012 macbook pro and like all of the current apple models we only have 2 USB 3.0 ports. I needed more ports for external hard drives. What ever you do, avoid bus powered usb 3.0 hard drives and ANY USB 3.0 Hub with a mac. I already lost one hard drive. If the hard drives have their own power supply then you can connect up to 3 of them to this hub without any problems. I also ran speed tests on all 3 at the same time and they were still out performing Firewire 800 drives. As a warning if you plug in anything to this hub that Pulls power (iPad, Bus-powered External hard drive, another USB Hub) then be prepared for it to randomly disconnect drives. Let's face it apple sucks and refuses to recognize the problem. The must have some deal with Belkin because this is the only one that they sell in apple stores and the only one that I have found to be reliable with hard drives.

Great addition of USB ports. It is small and unobtrusive but works great and has room for 4 connections. We used Velcro to stick it to the case of the computer and works like it was built there. Also works great on the desk. It works for USB 2 too. Very attractive and well made as are all the Belkin products we have.

I have a 15" MacBook Pro with Retina Display and, like other new Mac owners with USB 3.0 ports, have had a devil of a time finding a reliable hub. I think I've tried 15 hubs now, and the Belkin was one of the worst. It was bought on the recommendation of an Apple engineer to an AppleCare senior advisor that it should be reliable. I've spent many hours with Genius' and with AppleCare with no success, or confidence that they have a solution. I returned the Belkin for credit based on: "Micro-B receptacle is intermittent. Drives fail to mount at times; and they spontaneously undock/ eject without provocation. Hub lights often do not indicate drive status. Hub is erratic & unreliable." The problems with the intermittent Micro-B receptacle and the lights were killers for me. In my experience and opinion for those Mac owners with USB 3.0, there's evidence of a major problem with Apple engineering largely ignoring the USB 3.0 problem, or at least not coming up with an effective "fix". I bought my MacBook Pro Retina last June, expecting a solid MacBook Pro. It wasn't. After 9 months one would expect Apple to be on top of this problem, or to address it with their customers. Many, if not all, of the USB 3.0 hubs out there will work fine with the Windows OS, but fail at a surprisingly high rate with the new Macs. Browse the Amazon reviews, and the discussions on the Apple Discussion Boards and you'll find that Apple has a problem in this area. My guess is that they're putting their resources into iPhones and iPads and letting Mac owners drift. Check the reviews - from Mac owners - and you'll see what's happening.

Using it for dongles on Home Assistant. Works

I purchased this for an iMac 27" Late 2013 Model. It was recognized by the iMac and all USB items plugged into it are operational. I also like the fact that it is powered - although I do wish the power cord was longer. Other than that, I am very happy with the purchase.

Performed very well with very fast transfer rates to my new iMac 4K. Was plug and play. Unfortunately it failed after about two months. Went through an involved and harrowing call with the 800 number. Folks were friendly enough, but it took a long, long time to get through the multiple layers of phone people. Replacement is on its way, but I had to leave a credit card pending transaction in case I did not return the defective unit. They were not the least bit trusting or remorseful that it had failed so soon. I have had good luck with Belkin products in the past. Didn't see any comparable products fro anybody else.

Works really well with two cameras & controller on my P&Place machine.

J'ai reçu un seul connecteur d'alimentation, qui est de TYPE A (plat, voir photo) et qui ne convient pas à mon pays. Je n'ai pas trouvé cette information dans la description du produit.

Realamente este producto lo compre porque lo compre y estaba a mitad de precio de su histórico así como que lo necesitaba por cuestiones de empleo pero sere honesto, este producto es muy caro mas no ofrece el beneficio que condiciona su precio. lo que aqui vale la pena saber es que este es para las personas que no tienen un puerto USB C por lo tanto requiere que sea con un cable de poder lo cual es un eliminador de 4A para 4 amperes asimismo el chasis es liviano y no se siente muy solido, es muy ligero y considerando que el cable es muy grueso y pesado en realidad lo mueve el cable al hub. Mi consejo es intenta encontrar uno para USB C y si nop cuentas con ese puerto en tu PC mejor ahorra para una Docking station varios teclados incluso monitores cuentan con puertos de USB libres... mejor ahorra tu dinero o compra el siguiente modelo de 7 puertos con fast charging para celular
