This bed is a lot firmer than we're used to, but it only took a few nights to get used to it. We slept on one at a friend's house and had a good night's sleep, so when I got home, I put this in my Amazon Cart. Fast forward 2 or 3 years later, and when it was time for a new mattress, I made the purchase. Arrived quickly, and was easy to unpackage and place on my existing box springs. I was a little restless the first night because I was simply not used to the firmness. The second night was much better. It seems like every night after that has gotten better. I feel like it is much better for my neck and back than our old mattress (which was a high-end name brand but 12-15 years old). For a while now, I have been feeling pretty crummy every morning upon waking. I must say, I don't really have that feeling anymore, and feel much better in the morning. I feel like I'm getting much better rest at night with less tossing and turning. It's firm, but it's still comfortable and soft on the pressure areas. I would highly recommend this mattress, and I hope they continue to make it because I would like to buy another when this one gets old.

I’m a big man, built like a WWF wrestler. Imagine The Rock with a dad bod gut. I’m a stomach and side sleeper. I’ve been on this mattress for a month now. I got the plush 14’ king size thinking it would be on super soft cloud mode. Plush is a softer medium, softer top but rightfully firm in the middle. There is no bounce to it when you slap it or elbow drop the bed. It absorbs energy, so if your sleeping next to someone you can jump out the bed harder than a Barbarian late for a raid and will not disturb the person next to you. I had 2 different spring mattress for the last 20 years and both of them every so often had my lower back HURTING and hamstrings sore when I woke up. This eliminates that issue completely. The bed conforms to your entire body. No pressure points, keeps your back straight, side straight, and it creates a nice pot hole for your gut if your sleeping on your stomach. Pretty sweet. I used to wake up often to toss and turn and to roll over. This is the first bed for the first time in 20 years I wake up in the same position I feel asleep in for an entire 7-8 hours. No aches, no soreness, no pains and I wake up feeling “aligned”. I get out the bed do alittle basic morning stretch and feel great. I’ve beat my body up from physically working too hard and old exercising injures, this is a well worth it mattress for a big man who needs real support. Now the bed does get softer over time the more you sleep on it I guess it has a long break in period, that’s the only reason I knocked a star off. So if you have back any problems, ham string tightness, feel crooked in other mattresses , in need of a supportive bed, or a big man like me who needs to be cuddled by the mattress, get this. If this was the 3 bears this ain’t mama bears bed in terms of softness, definitely no where near papas, but certainly just right.One year update: oh yeah it’s broken in, takes 6 months before you have to rotate your bed. Now this whole bed is broken in and is more comfortable than ever. It definitely is plush but it takes time. I can see this mattress lasting 10 years easy.

I just received my matress in a box that was undamaged. I took it out of the box and easily unwrapped the matress. As soon as I unwrapped it, it began to expand. It only took maybe 5 minutes.! I was shocked how quickly it expanded. It looks wonderful. And it feels even better than wonderful! I bought the plush firmness. It's so soft and still firm and supportive enough at the same time. I have not slept on it yet, but I will do so later tonight in a few hours. I am soooooo happy with this matress so far. The thickness of 14 inches also seems to be spot on! I would strongly recommend this mattress to anyone looking to save some money and yet get something of high quality and comfortability . If you are thinking about it l, just do it! Pull the trigger. You will be happy you did.I only have one minor complaint. It took six days for there to be any indicator that my matress was on its way too me. I was waiting and waiting for some tracking info and it never came until 6 days later. I thought it was going to be UPS shipping the matress, but Amazon actually delivered it. So be prepared to wait. I purchased this mattress 3 months ago as it was time to replace the ancient one I had been using. The reviews on this mattress were good and the price was reasonable so I decided to give it a try. It came in a box that was not so heavy I couldn't move it. Set up was easy, but there was some off-gassing that went away after a couple days. After the first 2 nights, I woke up with a terrible migraine, but decided to give it more time because breaking a mattress in is always hard. I am glad I stuck with it.In the 3 months I have used it, I have slept better. I find the pain relief claim to be false, as it has provided little to no benefit to my lower back or neck. Even with the plush model, it was a little firmer than I like so I purchased a topper. Overall I am very satisfied with my purchase and will probably purchase another hybrid when the time comes for a new mattress.Overall, it gets 4 stars out of 5.Pros: Easy setup, restful sleep and comfort.Cons: Off gassing, no promised pain relief and not as plush as claimed.

This is my second Lucid mattress. I have loved them both. This one is probably my favorite. It's soft and comfortable and keeps me from getting too hot.

Update:Love this mattress! Best sleep either of us have had in ages. Look forward to bedtime!After going to every bed store in town , finding a mattress I loved but my husband didn’t ( plus WAY expensive) decided to follow my sons advice and find a box bed online.Read every review. But my husband wasn’t sold on a memory foam mattress. So stayed with our old worn out one. Until I ordered one for our daybed that needed replaced. He laid on it after I told him how comfy it was. He fell asleep and had a great nights sleep for the first time in ages.Three days later I crossed my fingers and ordered one for our bed( different brand)I wanted plush, and cooling gel. Don’t want to over heat.Once we got it unboxed, it filled quickly to full size, 14”.I should have gotten a 10” as our frame is high and I’m short.This is not plush. It’s more medium. I had wanted to kinda sink into it. But you don’t really.That said, it is comfortable. Offers support, and we don’t feel the other person when they move. We have both slept very well on this and really like it. My husband loves it.Would I buy it again? Yes. It’s a good buy. Just don’t expect plush.

3 years on and I’m still enjoying mine. Still firm, no sagging. Great mattress.

Please read the whole review. I put this at one star so that you would read my experience . I didn't know what star to put for this. First off I received a brand new mattress that was stained. I decided to contact the manufacturer to see what they wanted to do. I was very discouraged to receive what I thought was a new product with stains. It makes me wonder what type of quality control they may have if they can package this from their Factory with stains. Who knows what the rest of the mattress looks like inside. So basically after contacting them they just blew me off and told me to contact Amazon. No nothing no help no offer to even give me a new cover which is removable to replace the stained one. So the moral to the story is be wary as they will not honor anything or offer to help in any way. On a good note I did contact Amazon and they were more than helpful. They had offered some solutions for me with plenty of options. I did not want to return the mattress and go through that hassle. Now they did offer to return it but I didn't think that would be feasible. So five stars for Amazon for being so accommodating. 1 star for lucid as they are not at all accommodating and do not care about what their product is like when it leaves their Factory. Reality of it all is if they don't care can you only wonder what actually is going on at the factory and that they have no quality control to send a mattress out of their Factory stained. Now for the mattress itself it is reasonably comfortable and I would not call it plush more to the medium range. It does work for us as we are both lighter people. We did not want a firm mattress. We'll see if it even gets softer with time but overall it works. My only concern is how long it will last based on my quality control concerns. Should I have any issues I am sure Lucid would be unwilling to honor any warranty so like I said buyer beware. Thanks to Amazon so making this purchase feel at least a little better. No thanks to Lucid for their terrible quality control and customer service.

Good mattress, been using it for almost 4 months now, and the shape has not collapsed at all. It’s soft as advertised but still holds its shape. Price is affordable. To date have no complaints. Delivery was prompt. It expanded to full size in 2 days, as advertised.

I looked for hours to find a good mattress which is not too expensive and stumbled upon this one. The mattress is absolutely perfect. You don't even have to let the mattress deflate for a long time. There is no weird or strong smell either. I only smelt a faint paint-thinner like smell for a few hours which honestly didn't even bother me. I feel very rested and refreshed after sleeping on this mattress and never wake up mid-sleep either. I would highly recommend!!
