China Glaze Nail Polish, Creative Fantasy 1201

Beautiful, rich color, good quality.

For the past 21 years, I have had my nails done at the salon. Started with Acrylic then the last year I switched to Gel, and then doing the Gel at home by myself. Almost 2 years ago, I took it all off and am just letting my natural nails heal and grow. I finally have long nails again and wanted to start painting them. Amazon has everything, so why not shop nail polish?!I've used China Glaze before and have never had any issues with it. Until now. And it's not a huge issue, but for me, it's an issue.I bought this purple "Creative Fantasy" because I love purple. And this looked <in the descriptions' photo> exactly like the color of my Dodge Charger, so I had to get it! I wasn't sure if it was going to be a Matte or Shiny, because of the photo.I got my polish yesterday and today I did my nails. I took photos so you could see what the polish looks like after each layer.So here goes...before I start, I have to say it was hard taking photos that showed what it truly looked like. You can see it's super thin, and kind of matte looking.The next 2 photos show the 2nd layer of polish on both hands. Still hard to show how matte it really is...it's not a "true" matte - it just looks like there's a "film" on the polish....it's definitely not clear and shiny.Next 2 photos are with 3 layers. Yes, I had to apply 3 layers so there weren't any lines in my polish...see-through lines. This polish is not consistent.The next 2 photos show a clear glossy top coat. You can also see that I peeled off the skin barrier <in a little pink blob at the top of the photo.I took all of these photos inside, in my living room, with normal lighting. You can see how dark the polish looks. Not what I was looking for, but it's still a pretty, dark purple. I went outside in the sun, and took 2 more photos so you can see what it looks like outside. Those are the last 2 photos - you can see this is a VIVID purple.So, I had to apply a base coat, 3 layers of Creative Fantasy purple, and a clear glossy top coat. It took forever!!! I took 1 star away because it shouldn't be this hard to get the color of nail polish you thought you were getting...and it shouldn't take so long! Also, the fact that this is not a glossy nail polish...I'd say "Semi Gloss" at best. I don't like Matte nail polish...I don't know why - I just don't.I can't say if this chips, or how well or how long this will "wear" because I just applied it today <October 16>. But I will come back and update in a week or two...with photos.I will keep this because it is a pretty purple, but I will give "We Got The Beat" a try as that says "long lasting shine" so I know that's a gloss polish...and maybe another color or 2.

I added one picture with flash and one without flash. This is 2 coats of the nail polish, and you can see streakiness because the polish is very sheer. I think it's a very pretty polish but for it being a sheer polish it is quite expensive and took many days to get here. I would definitely recommend putting a base color underneath and then add this polish on top. I'm not mad though, it's cute.

I bought this polish unaware it was so beautiful. I applied 2 coats of polish followed by 2 coats of Sally Beauty Supply Top Coat for a gorgeous shine. Stunning look I recommend it highly 👌!!

Beautiful shimmery pink gold blue hue that can be used alone or as top coat. Obsessed with this look!

Color looks dull. Not shiny and needed 3 coats.

Looks gorgeous on its own or as a top accent for other colors. Goes on very smoothly and dries quickly. Beautiful!

Love this color. I just makes your nails shine or sparkle but you can still see your nail. Lasted about a week with me putting three coats on, 2 at first one more around day 3

I was delighted to find a bottle of this on Amazon. My last one got used up until there was only a dried up bit left in the bottle and China Glaze no longer sell it.This is the brightest neon orange, it makes your fingertips sing. Perfect for summer and Halloween, (stamped over with black cats, bats and spiderwebs) or any time when you really want your fingernails to be noticed.Beware though, without a base coat it will stain your nails a vile nicotine orange that will take six months to grow out. So use a good base coat and allow it to dry properly before applying orange knockout. It's matte so if you like shiny nails you'll also need a glossy top coat.

I was really disappointed by this product. I’d been looking for this shade for ages but when I finally received it - it doesn’t cover the nails when applying. Just slicks off and looks worse and worse as you put more applications on to try and even it up. It looks really awful and isn’t fit for purpose.

Pointless!!! The colour is amazing, a really vivid Fluro orange BUT it doesn’t stay on and chips horrendously! 3/4 coats and a high quality top coat and the first chip happened within 3 hours, within 48hrs I had to take it off as it was so chipped it just looked cheap and scruffy.

Bought this as thought it’s a lovely colour for the summer. I really love the colour, it’s a bright neon peachy colour which is just what I was looking for however the consistency of the nail varnish itself is awful. It’s very streaky & uneven, I had to put 4 coats of this varnish on to get it to look half decent. It chipped the next day so not long lasting. I’m only giving 3 stars for the colour. I wouldn’t buy again!!

The bottle was half full you could tell it had been open and used the top was all covered in nail polish but their was no runs in the package so whoever put it in knew it was alluded so not happy
