OVENTE 1.7L Retro Stainless Steel Electric Tea Kettle, Black KS755B

This is a beautiful tea kettle. So many people have complemented it when they come over. I didn't buy it because of how it looks but that is an added bonus. I got it to replace a plastic one as I became worried that it was not healthy to use. I like that this one is stainless steel and does not have any plastic parts inside which is what led me to order it. It boils water fast. Only thing I don't love is that it is that the lid fully detaches. On my old tea kettle the lid had a hinge. That wouldn't be possible with this one because the handle is on the top. Not terrible but I just liked the hinge better. I like the indicator light to know when I have turned it on. I only bought it a couple months ago but so far so good.

I LOVE this kettle. Everything about it is wonderful! First of all, it is just as gorgeous in real life, if not more so than in the photos. Secondly, the feel of it in your hands when you pour it is perfectly weighted so it doesn't cause strain on the wrist. The size is great when making the whole family a round of hot chocolate. No need to boil two times just to get enough water. Third, the switch lights up a really cute blue colour when you turn it on. Fourth, the base plate is solid and doesn't slide around. Fifth, the lid is secure enough to not fall out when you tip it to pour, but not so hard to get out that you have to struggle. Sixth, the sound of it coming to a boil is not nearly as loud as 90% of the other kettles I have had in my lifetime, and I have had A LOT of kettles. And finally, the handle has an excellent design so that it doesn't get hot and you never risk burning your hand when you pick it up. I absolutely LOVE this kettle.

I am positively in love with this kettle! It might just be my favorite thing about my entire kitchen. It’s every bit as beautiful as it looks in the photos online. There’s nothing special about its function, but it really is a showpiece for your home. The only thing I will say that surprised me about it is that it does take a considerable amount longer to boil water than my previous kettle, but this is simply because it is a greater capacity machine. It really is quite large and holds a great amount of water. So, don’t just fill it all the way up if you only want to brew a few cups. Only put as much water as you need to minimize the boil time. Otherwise, it is an amazing buy!

This gorgeous kettle is jewelry for the kitchen! It heats fast and is easy to clean, auto shut off and built in cord storage makes it the star on the kitchen counter! It's great quality and a good buy. Best house warming gift ever!

I LOVED my electric kettle and still do, if only it continued to work. I will say that my family drinks a lot of tea and this kettle was used at least once a day, and possibly five times a day in the winter months, for nearly three years before having problems. Others will probably get a longer life out of the kettle if they use it less frequently.On the bottom is a small metal post that goes into the base to make an electrical connection. The post became loose and would move up into the base of the kettle. I could pull it out and reposition it with a pair of tweezers, then fiddle with the kettle on the base to get the connection right to keep the power on to boil water. This was a hassle so I eventually purchased the TA screw heads to remove the bottom and tighten the post. I discovered the only thing holding the post was a rubber washer that had lost its grip. I used super glue to strengthen the grip of the washer to the post, but the switch mechanism still has a short in it somewhere and won’t stay on. Also, the entire internal structure gets very hot, and while dried superglue isn’t flammable, it is releasing fumes which are not safe.All that said, I still debated whether to buy another. It’s a gorgeous kettle, and possibly the manufacture improved the design since my kettle was purchased. I really did enjoy three years of functional art on my kitchen counter. I don’t like throwing things away though, so I’ll give another electric kettle a try this time around.

Had it for well over a year now and could not be happier. It's functional, fast, and looks great. It catches the light as you pass through the kitchen--I have the copper one. I would 100% buy another one. It's steady, reliable and easy to clean, too.

I like the pattern - you can't tell where I accidentally dented it---The capacity is perfect.It heats quickly.It is easy to clean.I do not remove the lid to fill the kettle - it is so much easier to fill it from the spout.I recommend this pretty kettle.

PROS:Large capacity;Nice design;Sturdy kettleCustomer service was friendly and had offered to replace the unit (I opted out and returned mine, so can't tell you about time and/or cost).CONS:Came with the stuck switch - always ON and would not shut off when water is boiling.Handle is fixed - will not move out of the way (to fill up with water) which is not that big of a deal, unless ones hand is not strong enough to support the weight of a nearly full kettle in an awkward position - tilted toward the faucet.

I got this for my mom a few weeks back, and she loves it. It has a large capacity, looks good, and easy to clean. The spout is large enough to clean without having to resort to a pipe cleaner brush. The element is covered on the bottom, which makes it easy to clean if you wanted to add tea leaves directly in to the kettle. Thought the base is a bit large, keeping it on your counter wont be an eyesore. I recommend this for anyone who wants to use it as part of their cooking arsenal, and for general hot water needs.

Excellent kettle - boils quickly, fantastic auto off once boiled (~5 seconds), pours beautifully and attractive as well. My only concern is it's somewhat difficult to fill through top (spout is easier) but the other benefits far outweigh this minor issue.

The kettle is a great shade of copper and very stylish and fun. I’ll use it every day for years, so I don’t mind paying a little more for something I really like and works well as a decorative item for my kitchen. It is easy to fill also, just remove lid and tip the kettle a tiny bit, lots of space.

Love this kettle. Its not complicated, it just has the important features like water level window and auto shut off, the capacity is a bonus too. Kettles are not generally aesthetically pleasing, but this one is gorgeous. I leave it out on my counter and get compliments on it all the time!
