I'm struggling to load in my custom LUTs into the monitor, any tips?

The only tip I can provide is that the LUTs must be in a subdirectory, not in the root of the USB drive. PortKeys say FAT32 is preferred and size must be less than 16GB.

does this monitor offer image capture/overlay for matching shots? I know some Portkeys monitors do but not sure if this one does

No, PT6 doesn't offer image capture/overlay, only BM5WR and BM5 III do.

Does this output a clean hdmi feed, i.e. no on screen display, and can a lut be applied to the hdmi out?

It output a clean hdmi feed. PT5 can't load a lut to hdmi out.

can you set the monitor so you can see the camera settings i.e. shutter speed, exposure etc
