A great alternative to the more expensive Mama's Ajvar
This is just as good as the Mama's Macedonian ajvar. Creamy, great tasting and the bonus, more product for less money.

I'm Forever Hooked.
I can't tell you how much I love this stuff. I had never heard of avjar until a couple of years ago when I tried it in Florida. I've been hooked ever since. Sadly, the little business where I discovered it was destroyed by the hurricane. I was so happy to find it on Amazon as I can't find it locally. I put it on everything. I even watched about twenty videos on YouTube on how to make it and gave it my best shot and I'm a pretty good cook. I can recreate just about anything. Anything except this. Mine didn't compare. if you've never tried it give it a shot. You'll be glad you did. Great on hummus, on a crusty bit of sourdough with a good ricotta and a drizzle of good olive oil. Spread it on grilled chicken, as a dip, on a turkey sandwich, etc. Just delicious.

Was expecting more eggplant taste and texture, which might be a plus for some. Will have to keep looking. The lid might be too flimsy. Thankful it didn't bust open packed together with my Kindle order,

This ajvar from Macedonija is absolutely delicious - highly recommend it!

Even though wrapped in several layers of bubble wrap, lid was loose and juices leaked all over. Not sure if it happened during transport or if the jar was never sealed properly. $14 down the drain....

Really tasty
The flavor is excellent. I like it both as a spread and as an ingredient to add to various sauces or soups. It's very versatile. It's as good as any Ajvar I've had. I can't buy it locally where I live now, so I was pleased to find it on Amazon.
