Update to my original post: Very loud---maybe mine is defective?
Update: The seller reached out and are issuing a refund before I had a chance to return it. It is nice to know they stand by their product! Apparently, this was a fluke as they have not had this issue before and I read the reviews before I ordered. I changed my rating to 4 stars instead of 3. Original Post: I have used ionizers for years but when I put this plate in, it is really loud even on low. I've never experienced this before and have purchased other brands. I am thinking it will get quieter in a couple days but I may have to return it.

This was exactly what my air purifier needed. Works perfectly! Can smell the wonderful fresh air. I have it in my basement to keep the damp smell away and I can smell the fresh air even on my first floor now!!
