Still the Gold Standard for Detailing Towels
Still the Gold Standard for Detailing Towels I’ve been using the Chemical Guys El Gordo Extra Thick Microfiber Towels for years, and they remain one of the best detailing investments I’ve made. These towels are plush, dense, and perfectly sized at 16.5" x 16.5", striking the ideal balance between absorbency and control. The 70/30 microfiber blend and silk-banded edges make them safe for paint, glass, chrome, and interior surfaces without any risk of scratching. What really stands out is the dual-weave design—one side is thick and fluffy for drying or lifting wax residue, while the tighter side is perfect for buffing to a streak-free shine. I use them for drying, removing polish, and wiping detail spray, and they leave a flawless finish every time. They also highlight dirt well so you know when to flip to a clean side, which helps prevent swirl marks. They’ve held up through dozens of washes with no fraying or loss of softness (just avoid fabric softener). The towels stay thick and absorbent, even after heavy use on multiple cars. I’ve used them for waterless washes, glass cleaning, and even household surfaces—they do it all effortlessly. Bottom line: these are premium microfiber towels that perform well above typical “bulk” options. Durable, ultra-soft, and versatile, they’re the kind of towel you end up using everywhere—not just for your car.

they are big and soft, perfect for my SRT392!
they are big and soft, perfect for my SRT392! I did find some fluff stuck in some areas where it got pinched, but to be expected i guess. one side is super soft and fluffy and the other side is more typical of the small microfiber clothes. This worked great for applying spray on ceramic coating. wish they were a tad cheaper, but i think i can make a set last a year, I have yet to wash them though. I will update after I wash them.

Built to Suffer and Still Shine
I’ve had these for years now — and they’ve been dragged through hell. Used in the Grand Cherokee, used on engine grime, used on granite, and somehow they still bounce back after every wash. They’re extra thick but not too stiff, and the square 16.5" size folds perfectly for glovebox use, detailing work, or keeping a clean square on your counter. I pair mine with the Chemical Guys Hex Logic pads for polishing, or just run them solo on my granite countertop after a steam mop pass. I keep a few in the Jeep, a few in the kitchen, and one always stays in my car reset bin. No threading issues. No clumping. Just the kind of towel you forget how much you rely on until you try a cheaper one. If you want a towel that survives everything you throw at it — and looks clean doing it — this is the one. — Curated by Jaded John | #OrderlyCleanDesign

My green goto workhorse
My goto daily towels for spray wax/detailer/shine enchancer touch ups Easy see trapped debris that would otherwise damage your clear coat if gone unseen. Can tell when its gettin too funky and to change the side. Fold into quarters. Rip the tag off and let er rip. Normally do 1/2 the car on one flip and other half off other flip using one side for wet and one for after wipe. Then turn completely inside out for softer pile side for happy ending final wipe smudge eradication For the price they are great and are the only towel sold out at the local chemical guys spots for a reason

Good Towel at Very Good Price for Wax Removal, But Not Best for Detail Sprays
First the pros: These microfiber towels are well made, a decent buy, and definitely thicker & nicer than the Costco Yellow Auto Microfiber towels - If you're an everyday auto fan who wants decent microfiber towels to remove wax & other casual auto polishing tasks at a decent price, these are for you. Now the cons: If you are an avid (i.e. anal-retentive like me) auto-care enthusiast looking for detail spray finishing microfiber cloths for your very fine finish classic or luxury vehicle that are equivalent in performance but a better deal than the Griot's Garage blue (#11231 Micro Fiber Speed Shine Cloth) or green (#11269 Micro Fiber Spray-On Car Wash Cloth) microfiber towels offered here on Amazon, then you are going to be disappointed - These towels do not measure up. They are not as soft, their nap is not as long, and they only have one side with long nap, so they simply do not perform nearly as well with detail sprays. On the other hand, if you want decently soft microfiber towels solely for wax removal, then these are a much better buy compared to the white/red-border Griot's microfiber towels offered here on Amazon for that purpose. Also a Con: When you go to remove each towel's tag (ALWAYS remove towel tags as they scratch your finish!), carefully CUT the tag off, DO NOT TEAR it off - attempting to do so on these towels will result in torn towel fibers that will continue to pull out and ruin your towel. Final Note (in case you are curious): I own multiple quantities of every towel I have described above, and all are quite good for the finish maintenance tasks I've described - Have fun with your cars everyone!

Cleaning Done Right
I have purchased many microfiber towels with mixed results. Some start off great and are almost useless after 10 washes. Others are super absorbent but are difficult to maintain, as in “must line dry”. I like these towels! They do what they’re supposed to and do it well. Try them, you won’t be disappointed. Good for cleaning your car, bathroom, dusting, wiping up spills, and drying dishes. I’m satisfied.

Applictes solutions evenly
These microfiber cloths are softer and thicker than those I have bought at stores. I've only used them on the interior so far because it's too cold to wax the car right now. Yet i use them for restoring auto trim and glass cleaning. But it spreads the detailing solutions evenly and doesn't absorb all of it to the point that you have to reapply. Other towels I've used were like that. But these do a better job. They come in many different colors as well.

Good qualiyy
Towels were as described and arrived quickly. I use mine for detailing my vehicle. They have been washed several times and hung to dry. They still dry very well and perform as they did new.

Very good quality and durability!
One of the better and more economical MFs that you'd want in your cleaning bag. I've been using them for quite sometime now and they've been lasting wash after wash pretty well. Just take caution and don't wash them in hot water - hot water and spin drying kills their softness and they won't be apt for polishing/bufifng anymore. Taking out a star because they're still very expensive to be bought in India.
