Does this work on short hair? I have a short layered pixie bob and did volume

I think this would work with a bob proving you have three to four inches of length. Yes, this iron will provide volume. I have very fine, stick straight hair with a very smooth texture, volume always falls flat over time with my hair type, I think that has alot to do with it. One excellent thing about this iron if you have "slick" hair is the soft silicone teeth, they really help grab and hold the hair w/out any pulling or discomfort. I own several Calista tools irons they run around $100 and I far prefer this! Hope this helps. 😃

Hi, On the barrel of the appliance it states 120/240 VAC. Perhaps that answers your question about dual voltage.

Would this work well this a beard? I usually use a blow dryer but I’m looking for something smaller

Well If you are looking for something to tame the beard, I don't think this is for you unless you have a Santa Clause long beard. The barrel on the HEATED styling brush is at least an inch so if your beard is long it would work. If your beard is short I'm not so sure. The barrel heats up, it does not blow hot air.
