This is a review for a part NO ONE should ever have to buy.
This is a review for a part NO ONE should ever have to buy. This is a pigtail to repair the defective factory wiring on GM wire harnesses. This particular application is to the 5.3L starter on a 2018 Silverado. GM thoughtfully put a thermal blanket around the wiring and connector. Evidently in durability testing, the excessive exhaust and engine heat makes the connector very brittle. And then to add to their 'veneer' of engineering 'concern', they added a secondary clip (red plastic) that must be removed before the brittle-as-glass connector is removed. You guessed it...red plastic tab broke off with nothing more than a casual touch. Left the remains (still locking the connector tab in the locked position) inside the connector. HAD TO BREAK THE CONNECTOR INTO PIECES TO REMOVE THE STARTER ~~~ (That should not have failed at less than 100k miles but that is another GM 'quality' story). Bottom line, I went back with the factory connector that added days (and $25 in parts cost) to a simple starter swap. Thank you GM for your quest to cut corners on quality and to lose your loyal following. The connector has the dreaded red locking tab that works GREAT for the first 100 miles till it gets brittle. Might as well buy one of these connectors BEFORE you attempt to remove the starter on GM LS motors.

Fit perfect. 2015 Jeep Wrangler
If you have a Jeep Wrangler you know what a pain it is to get this plug off the starter because the factory did not leave enough length. This was easy to install and was a perfect match to original Mopar plug. Don’t let the AC Delco name fool you. These plugs were used on a whole lot more cars than just GM vehicles.

Upgrade to C6 Z06
Worked as advertised. Spliced the connector into my 2007 Z06 instead of soldering due to close proximity to the header primaries.
