This has been my go to color for over 10 years. I mix it with my own developer so I have more control over the color outcome. The color has remained consistently vibrant and gorgeous even after 5 weeks of washing (with color-safe shampoo/conditioner). I imagine using color depositing shampoo or conditioner would maintain the vibrancy even longer. I follow the color with a different conditioner because I don't like the smell of the one included in the box. Good value if you can find under $10.

This is the only brand of red hair color that I will buy. It doesn’t fade as fast as the others and it leaves my hair soft and shiny. It also smells like wonderful. My hair is dirty blonde so my roots are BRIGHT red and I love it. I go two months between coloring and it faded out to a rusty/brassy red - which I still liked. Picture of faded color included.

My hair turned out so pretty!

I have naturally dark brown hair with salon highlights so this was a particularly bold color choice for me and the first time I ever dyed red (mahogany red 4.2). The coloring process was easy as expected and no strong odor. The color took really really long to wash clear in the shower the first time, and I think more was still coming out after I shampooed/conditioned. Use a dark towel the first few times you wash so you don’t ruin anything good! The conditioner that comes with it is good and my hair is really soft and silky after. The color is vibrant! Looks much more red in daylight or near a window than what it looks like at night or not directly near a window. I uploaded 2 pictures that show this - the darker one is a little more “realistic”. I can’t yet speak to the longevity or how this fades as I’m only on day 2, but so far I really like it! I read about 100 reviews before deciding on this color so I hope my review and photos can help someone else now. Happy coloring :)

Now, Im not unhappy with how this turned out, so Im still giving it 4 stars, HOWEVER this hit my stripped dirty blonde hair a little differently than I thought it would. Fortunately, Im a huge fan of Pennywise/Chucky LOL will still order again, but wasnt looking for qhite that much divergence from a mahogany/auburn.

This color is amazing. Easy to do myself. I apply and leave on as directed. It is rich and I find thick enough once on is not dripping all over the place. I wash mine out in the shower and only have to rinse shower the color is able to come off without staining my shower which I have used in both tile and fiberglass enclosure. 45 minutes later you have this lush rich gorgeous color that I receive compliments on daily when I’m out. I can’t tell you how many people I have turned on to this product lol I keep a photo on my phone so I can text it to people who ask for it. Easier to find when you know what to look for.

Love this colour! I’ve never used this brand but have always wanted to. I’m glad I did!

Unfortunately for me, this is not the product. I colored my hair with this (usually I am L'oreal Feria R48). This color gave me the hottest orange hot roots I have ever seen. I had to re-color it with my usual because it was so very terrible. Lesson learned, and I will stick with the product I know won't turn my roots as orange as the star I just gave. It may work really well for other people, I am just not one of them.
