Abyssaly Black Wood Effect Sticky Back Plastic for Furniture & Walls

Seems a bit on the thin side. I've used these to cover a large wardrobe, found that it covered well, though it's easy to damage. It's much easier to apply to a horizontal surface, applying to a vertical surface can lead to stretching/creases. If you want to be picky and have a perfect finish I would recommend dismantling a wardrobe/unit carcas so that they can be laid flat to apply. Allow plenty of time and go slow and gentle. I used the left overs to cover some photo frames and these looked great too.

Bought to cover some bookshelf speakers that had become rather tired looking. The colour and finish coincidentally matched the original covering perfectly and was very easy to apply smoothly and without air bubbless The adhesion is strong but the material itself is also strong enough for it to be removed and reapplied if you don't position it quite right first time. Very good product.

Good and look fantastic but unfortunately it's not very durable torn quite easily over moving the keyboard but looks fantastic and get what you pay for, I'll get some thicker stuff in future or just put some more over it

Absolutely shocking quality. The vinyl was not stuck to the backing properly, so already has creases and wrinkles in the vinyl when I opened it, and they simply wouldn’t come out, even when heated. The product is so thin, that trying to remove any air bubbles(and there are plenty of these), simply leads to it tearing. I touched one piece of it with my fingernail, and it left a hole in the vinyl!! Anyone having any luck getting it to look neat and tidy, is going to be disappointed with the wear on the product. It simply won’t last. What a waste of money!!

I bought this as I made my own "Dice Tray" using my 3D Printer, and wanted to give it a classic "wood grain" finish and remembered from a youtube channel (LGR) that they used wood grain vinyl on their PC build and thought "hey that looks amazing" that this is infact a thing - of course I remembered that back in the old days we would wrap our school folders in this sort of material for no reason other than it looked cool! Anyway I print using PLA, and after the print I wiped the surfaces, the vinyl stuck to the sides however when it had to negotiate around a corner I pulled it flush, pushing out air bubbles as I went, to find just a day later, it had come up a bit, I am constantly pushing down in certain areas to get it to form the shame more closely, they are sharp 90 degree angles, so it shouldn't really be a problem, but maybe it doesn't like the PLA, or maybe I will need to rough up the surface of the plastic a bit to help the vinyl stick? I don't know.. Either way I am still happy with the product, I have converted my Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay notebook into a woodgrain notebook and it works perfectly on that so, its nothing wrong with the product itself, just maybe not what my intended use is.

Good for the price its not the paper thin stuff its a little bit thicker with an almost real lino effect its fairly easy to out down once you know how to donit properly.... stick then peel the rest slowly while letting it naturally roll out

Die Folie lässt sich leicht zuschneiden und gut verarbeiten, wodurch sich Möbel schnell optisch aufwerten lassen. Die matte Holzoptik in Schwarz wirkt modern und hochwertig und eignet sich gut für Schränke, Tische oder Fensterbänke. Die Selbstklebefunktion hält zuverlässig, solange die Oberfläche vorher sauber und glatt ist. Kleine Luftblasen lassen sich mit etwas Geduld gut herausstreichen. Ein kleiner Punkt: Bei sehr großen Flächen braucht man etwas Übung, damit alles perfekt sitzt. Insgesamt aber eine sehr praktische und günstige Lösung für ein neues Möbel-Design – 5 Sterne.

Die Folie kam gut verpackt und ohne Beschädigungen an. Wir haben hiermit 2 m lange Schranktüren verschönert. Definitiv ist die Folie sehr dünn und man muss auf jeden Fall mit 2 Personen sein. Stück für Stück anbringen und am besten mit einem breiten Spachtel sofort hinter her gehen. Falls nicht, hat man eventuell das Problem, dass die Folie sich direkt kräuselt bzw. Blasen bildet. Folie auch nicht zu stark ziehen, da sie ja sehr dünn ist. Die Optik ist wirklich sehr schön und ich würde diese Folie - auch mit dem Makel, dass diese etwas dünn ist, würden wir diese weiter empfehlen.

Never again! The quality is absolutely terrible. We applied the film as a team of two, but unlike other suppliers, there were no tools or instructions included – a strange first red flag. With experience, I thought it would still work, but I was completely wrong. The film tears extremely easily, creases quickly, and constantly creates unsightly folds during application. Save yourself the frustration and choose a different product. This one is absolutely not worth it!
