FZONE Aquatic Glass Lily Pipe Set with Skimmer Inflow and Outflow for Aquarium Filter 5/8''(16/22mm) Tubing

These are great Lily Pipes, I love the quality and the thickness of the glass, I however have a shrimp tank, and had to “scrap” the surface skimmer. Even though I could put filter foam in it, it would either bob up and down or just get sucked down, even with a o ring or zip tie. So I ended up using a filter intake sponge on the top and also a larger one on the bottom to protect my shrimp and improve flow. The suction cups could use improvement, but that’s easily fixable with all the extra cups I have left from other things. Overall the fit and finish and the value for the money, is great. I would recommend this to anyone who needs a lily pipe set for their canister filter. No leakage, and installation was easy as sliding them into the 5/8or 17mm vinyl tubing I have.

I bought this product ~1 month ago to replace the black plastic parts that came with my filter and I'm really happy with the decision. The quality of the glass is great and both parts feel very sturdy. I wasn't worried at all about breaking them as I attached them to the tubing. This is the first surface skimmer I've used and it's a pretty cool design. The bottom of the intake has an adjustable cap that allows you to block the grates to force water through the surface skimmer, making it easy to use this product with filters of various flow rates. The skimmer does a great job getting small particles off the surface without sucking in a bunch of air and it doesn't add any noise to my tanks filtration system. I've done a few large water changes since adding the skimmer and I haven't needed to play around with or adjust the skimmer to get it functioning again. It's a pretty robust design. The only downside is the green spot algae that wasn't visible with my black plastic parts, but thats more of a tank problem than a product problem. I definitely recommend this product and will start buying them for my other tanks.

DO NOT PURCHASE THESE LILY PIPES!!! As others have mentioned, the acrylic lily pipe piece of the intake does not work properly and traps tons of air. What ends up happening is that all that air gets trapped into your system and eventually cause your canister filter/pump to run dry which will damage it. I was lucky that the Iwaki pump on the ADA canister filter ran dry for several hours overnight and did not cease. Contacted customer support and they replied with a copy paste script asking for pictures. I sent the required information and two days later they replied with the EXACT copy/paste reply from the initial contact. Stay away from this hot garbage equipment. It's poorly made and the support behind it is worse.

This would be 5 stars if not for the skimmer. Like other's have said, it has flaws. Water takes the path of least resistance and in this case, it's actually the skimmer. This results in a majority of the water actually being sucked in through the skimmer instead of main inlet. This pulls in a bunch of air. I'm not able to run my canister filter at full strength because of this. The bottom part that's supposed to restrict inflow for the skimmer is wide open mind you. It's basically not needed because, as mentioned, water takes the path of least resistance which in this design happens to be the skimmer intake. We've got an ultra wide top with only a few slits at the bottom. It's obvious which way the water wants to travel. It's a nice concept but a majorly flawed design where the engineer didn't seem to know much about fluid dynamics. There needs to be more "slits" on the main intake or the skimmers tube needs to be narrower for this to work as intended and not have such strong sucking force from the skimmer. The lily pipe is great but the design of the skimmer intake lowers it to 4 starts as I can't run my canister filter at full strength without the skimmer sucking in a ton of air and bobbing up and down while spinning. What they can do to fix it is listed above for the next version but I can't recommend this version. All intake slits as well as the unit as a whole are clean and free from obstruction along with freshly cleaned tubing at the time of writing this.

The only lily pipes you should get. They are high quality. Well designed and well built. Clear glass with no imperfections. The skimmer and intake is also well designed. Why buy anything else for twice the price. Will be picking up another set when I can afford them

The actual part of the inlet where the water is sucked in is larger than where the 16mm tube connects. And that size is not listed. I found this out the hard way when I bought and inlet guard designed for a 16/22mm lily inlet pipe. Not sure why they made a size difference there but would have been nice to have the measurements listed or at least a disclaimer. Also, the suction cups are pretty small for such a larger lily pipe. any 16/22mm hose hooked up to this will easily overpower them leaving your pipes hella crooked in the tank. Also, this thing bobs like nobody's business since the inlet has such a super massive hole. Today is day 2 of trying to get this thing to stop bobbing. These pipes are also stupid huge. I have a 90p so I figured I get the larger pipes. But these things look jurassic even in my larger tank! Go a step down. Especially since you'll likely have to turn your flow down anyway to stop the bobbing. Overall a decent product for what I assume has no perfect solution.

I bought this because I liked the clear pipes going into my aquarium. Added some clear hoses & it is very nice to look at. Water flow is good. The little guppies love playing in the output side. If you’re looking for a cleaner look for your Fluval 307 or any of them get this. I would suggest using the clear braided hoses. The completely clear hoses are not strong enough.

I've had this set up for about two weeks while I cycle my tank. It took a few minutes of tweaking to get the skimmer set up the first time, but did a water change just today, and it's much easier now that I have a better idea of where the setting should be. Glass feels sturdy in hand on both pieces, and I have moved and detached them from hoses a few times now as I get things to where I like them. I saw a tip to heat the tips of both the glass and the hoses when reattaching to avoid blow out when starting up after any maintenance to them, and that advice worked out great for me. I just use a hair dryer at the max heat setting. The lily pipe had plenty of clearance over the rim of my 29 gallon tank, but the skimmer/intake is a bit of a tighter fit. But it does fit! If your rimmed tank is much larger, you will probably need to shell out for a different set. Overall, I'm really pleased with this set.

Excellent quality glass lily pipe set. The crystal clear glass is beautifully made and giving the aquascape a clean, professional look. Water flow is smooth and gentle, improving circulation without disturbing plants or livestock. Easy to install, fits perfectly, and arrived well packaged. A fantastic upgrade for any planted tank!

They work really well, i thought some of the glass work was a little cheap, but then again so is the price. For example, where the suction cups go, the glass posts are offset, making the suction cups out of wack, this causes some issues when mounting it up. They still work, and look great. Be cautious if you have a tank with a black plastic rim, mine barely fit under it. in fact, i had to change the suction cups it came with to make sure it fit under the rim. All in all i would recommend these despite these small problems. NO leaks, easy to install, and comes with the cleaning brush and stuff, pretty good bargain and i didn't have to go source it and pick it up.
