After "Poppa's saw shop" in Milwaukie, OR, ruined the brand new pump they installed I bought this pump and control. I installed it, adjusted the pump a little, and it's worked very well. We've split lots of wood without a hitch.

simple, powerful and easy to adjust

One I figured out how the lines went. And the right configuration for the in and out. It works better then the original pump. I have yet to figure out where the two-stage part comes into play yet. It would be very helpful to have instruction with the pump kit.

Should have read the specs a little better. Low PSI = less power. If you have a standard size cylinder on a log splitter, this pump will give you about 18 to 19 tons.

Was a little tricky to get it plumbed in you need a lot of fittings but once it’s on I would say the cycle time on the splitter now is 2-3 seconds. Love it would recommend

I built a wood splitter, worked the wood wood splitter for about 1/2 an hour and the control seased up, I went to the store and bought another one. I got everything put back together and ran the wood splitter for about 45 minutes and now the pump is not working, I have lost all pressure from the pump. Not even enough pressure to split 6 inch clear maple. Junk don't buy.

Pump works well so far very strong Pump the valve bank right out of box is sticking so bad the return detent don’t work just sticks gotta hit it hard to move handle
