Color + Clenditioner, Semi-Permanent Hair Color, 23 Shades

Love this Clenditioner! I was trying to find a way to spruce up on my color without damaging my hair or having to full out dye it frequently - and I think i found the secret! One thing I appreciated is that it’s very easy to apply and doesn’t make a big mess in the shower like some color products can. It rinses clean and I haven’t noticed staining on my hands or shower surfaces. The color is subtle but still rich, which I actually prefer because it looks more natural rather than overly intense. It also works well as a conditioner on its own — my hair feels smooth and manageable after using it, not dry or coated. For anyone trying to maintain or slightly enhance their existing hair color, this is a really convenient option. One bottle can last awhile, unlike actual dye which are one-time use. Overall I’m very happy with it and will definitely keep using it.

It's very moisturizing, my hair is softer than it's been in a long time. I also love the scent, it's not overpowering. My only complaint would be that it's not coloring my natural roots which is the reason for 4 stars rather than 5. I have highlights and those were colored pretty well however my roots are just starting to get a slight pink tint even though I've used it 6 or 7 times both dry and wet. It also has some spots that are lighter than others despite reapplying it there. I haven't had any issues with stained skin though, some hand soap and a fingernail brush gets it right off. Update, I just finished the bottle and finally the color was from roots to tip. I've washed my hair 2 times and it's washing out pretty well already. I'm updating my rating to 5 stars, I'm very impressed Update, 5 washes without it: The last two pictures are after only 5 washes without it. It kind of looks darker in the pictures but in person it's a very faint red. It went from a really dark burgundy to this color really quickly. 10/10 recommend. I've tried Merlot, Honey, purple, and now copper. Purple wasn't very good, it took 4 washes to really show up and it was difficult to wash out. The rest were really good. Once I stop using them I have some hair loss but nothing noticeable or drastic.

Backstory of my hair (I am notorious for doing idiotic things to it): I have been salon coloring my hair for several years now, so after the first 1.5 inches of my roots was bleached blonde hair. I had started to experiment with red a couple months ago at the salon, and learned that copper was NOT my color. So we went for a more auburn red and smudged my roots dark brown and applied color everywhere else that was once blonde. It turned out beautifully but my bleached hair does not want to hold color, so it faded again after about 2.5 weeks to a burnt orange color. My stylist approved this shampoo for me to try. I was torn between Auburn and Merlot. I wanted to keep it a darker brownish red but I wanted more deeper red on top of it. So we went with Merlot. **I had been using another brand of color wash a few years ago, and I had also tried their Copper a couple months ago, which was when I learned it wasn’t right for me. With that being said, the color wash SHAMPOO I had been using was only meant to sit for 5 minutes on wet hair.** So when I first applied this Merlot, it was in the shower for 5 minutes, only applying it to my money piece for 2 minutes since it soaks up the most color. I included a photo of what 5 minutes of this product does. I of course was panicking that I had once again screwed my hair up, but my stylist came through for me and encouraged me to try again on my damp hair since I’d just showered, and this time let it set longer “because the Amazon listing shows that it’ll get darker with every application”. That’s when I decided to actually go and read the directions (like the idiot sandwich I am). So there is my comparison photo for 5 vs. 35 minutes! The first photo is the next morning in natural light. It looks different in every lighting which I both love and hate, because in the sunlight it’s more bright red and indoors it’s more of a deeper “Merlot” which is what I want. But I am going to use it again today to see if I can achieve an even darker color. My hair is thick and has layers cut into it, and when I saturated it the second time I nearly used half the bottle, which does bum me out because it’s not cheap, but that’s okay because I chose this life. NOT TO MENTION!!!!!!: that the previous color wash shampoo I had been using DRIED MY HAIR OUT SO BAD. I had to soak my hair with conditioner multiple times after every application because it almost left an alcoholic residue that wouldn’t dare absorb any type of moisture. I mean, my hair was squeaking in the flat iron. Dry as a bone. BUT THIS STUFF!!!!!: oh my gosh my hair is so soft. I only used a couple pumps of conditioner afterwards and it absorbed it like a dream. My hair is so soft and smells so good. Overall: 10/10. Just read the directions. :)

Used this with the red one. This is a game changer for keeping my hair color fresh! It deposits color while conditioning, leaving my hair soft, smooth, and refreshed. My color that I got professionally dyed came out more of a coppery red and this made it that wine color I was looking for!! Unfortunately it does stain basically everything so ensure to clean the area immediately after it touches the surface. Also ensure you wipe it off your hairline it will stain too red! I left it on for 30 on dry hair in a processing cap. The photo is the after!! It looks a little brown in the photo but looks way more red in person.

Very easy to use smells nice. Love the color and coverage.. So I bought this to cover my grays. I have my crown totally gray well more salt and pepper as I had grew it out pretty much.. I will be turning 64 and wanted a youthful change. I had did the under carriage as I call it black for a couple of years now but the last time I did it with permanent color it was way too dark. So I decided to go with a semipermanent color.. I reserached and found this 3 in one. It did very well on the Grays and it really gave the the black hair a little more depth and slight red hue. Like I said was pretty black so I am really impressed and please. This is not my first time doing doing a bold color used a temporary color cream amatheist purple which I loved but it bleed on every thing sheets, pillow, shirts I had to put a pillow case on the back of my coah and recliner. But as I daid for my birthday inOct I thought I've been wanting to try this color and debated on whether putting it on my gray hair mind you I like my grays but also just time for a change and I'm hoping that it doesn't rub off on things like the temperary color did last time I stained my hair a purple color I loved it but... Anyways we will see how this goes but so far I'm loving it it was easy to use just make sure you wear your gloves put Vaseline on your face and ears hair line area. I left mine on for an hour because I have a lot of gray in my crown and my hair is very thick. Oh one thing is that I could not get the pump to open/the pumper to pop up so I just unscrewed it and put a bunch of it on my glved hands and just really worked it into my hair pretty well of course I did not use a whole bottle but I'm very pleased with the product so far and it looks great so I did a little bit in the Sun for you and then just inside picture oh & that picture is with my gray pretty much grown out before I put the black on it..

First time trying..will purchase again if it works well.

No coloring at all. Don’t waste your money.

My hair is dyed with Wella Koleston 55/65. I love the colour but with chlorine exposure from weekly swimming with my little one it was already fading after around 4 weeks. I started using a combination of this conditioner and the De Lorenzo ruby red shampoo and together they have completely brough my colour back to life. It is also super hydrating and left my hair feeling silky soft as well as removing a lot of knots before even having to brush it.

If you hair is dark brown, you will get a really nice merlot colour! Especially in the sun. Highly recommend.
