I adore these things!
I live in condos where the terraces are close to each other. The unit next to me is used as a vacation rental. Their manager turns on the two, screaming, 60-watt bulbs in the clear glass porch lights, and then they stay on 24/7 until 2-3 days after the tenant leaves and the manager finally gets around to turning them off. I hate looking at those huge, white bulbs as I come and go after dark. Making that blinding light go in my face and the faces of others is just plain rude. Nobody even needs that much light on a terrace, and I expect no one even wants it. These naked bulbs (behind clear glass) flood the neighboring units with light all night long. They are un-neighborly.I removed the 60-watt bulbs from my outdoor fixtures. I added one of these do-hickies along with a 7-watt night light bulb. THIS I can leave on for ambience without blinding myself or my neighbors. It looks like candlelight and gives just the right amount of light to see where I'm going without have a high-wattage bulb blazing into my eyes.I have used these inside also. I have a pair of buffet lamps on a timer so that I will never come home to a dark apartment. I used two of these along with two, 15-watt candelabra bulbs. This supplies beautiful, ambient light in my living room that is on when I get home from work, and goes off automatically at midnight. I love it.I think these, combined with night light bulbs, are the greatest for outdoor light fixtures that you'd like to leave on all night for beauty and to announce to night-creepers that someone is living in the cared-for house so they need to keep moving. These, along with a night light bulb, are also wonderful in lamps in rooms where you would otherwise plug one of those plastic night lights into the socket. The difference of the quality of light from this same bulb coming from behind a lampshade vs the plastic thing at the outlet is remarkable. I will never be without a few of these in my special kitchen drawer...you know the one. :)

UPDATE: Nov 20 2015I received the replacement units in the mail as promised by the company. Each and every unit tested out just fine with no problems. I inserted and removed lights 20 times in each of the sockets, and in each and every case, the socket functioned exactly as it should have.Every company can have an issue with production. What makes or breaks a company is how they deal with the problem. This company did what they said they would do and replaced the items with fully functional items as they promised they would. So for me, they have earned the 5 stars. One of the things I found is that you need to go to the company's website on Amazon to reach someone for support. Again, that is not a problem as long as you know that is how to reach them. The company appears to be based outside of the US, so I can understand how it is difficult to setup support. They appear to be trying very hard and they are improving at it as they go. Again, at this point in time I feel they rate the full 5 stars.UPDATE: Nov 16 2015The company contacted me and they are sending out a replacement saying that I should not have had the problem I did. I will test the new shipment and update this review after I have tested the adapters. For now, I am giving them the benefit of doubt by upgrading this review to a 3 pending receipt and testing of replacements.*****************UPDATE:If you are interested in trying to fix one that does not work, you can take a very fine pointed pick and inside the plastic threads you will see a metal strip that runs from top to bottom. If your is not working it is probably because the strip is too far back for the threads of the bulb to contact. Using the fine pick you can pull at the top of the piece of metal toward the inside of the fixture. You will find that there is a small hole in the top that the pick can get a purchase on. This will bend the metal out far enough for it to contact the side of the bulb to make an electrical contact.I am not sure if that will be a permanent fix or not, but it does seem to work. It would seem that the manufacturing process is either making the indent in the plastic too deep or there is not enough bend in the metal strip. Either way, it appears to be random as some work just fine and some do not.I still have not heard back from the company. So, based on that and what I have found, I am lowering the rating on this to two stars as it makes me question the reliability and the safety of the product.*****************************************************Original Review:I needed 3 of these so I ordered the set of 6 thinking it would give me a spare set. Instead, what it did was ensure I had three working units with two spares and one bad device. I tried to contact the company, but their website is a work in progress. While I managed to send a message on it about my problem, I have not heard back.I went to the Amazon website to see if there was a way to get in contact with the seller, but there is not. The only option I had is to return all of them. While I could do that, it would mean looking around for another supplier or trying again and hoping all 6 worked. Since another reviewer had stated they had more than one out of 6 bad, I just decided to keep what I had and throw the bad one away.Thiis is really too bad since the device, when they work, are good and do the job. Apparently, there is a Quality Control issue that they need to resolve. So, my suggestion is that if you are ordering these, ensure you are ordering more than you need so that you have all you need that are functional.

Very slim, works great is smaller fixtures
I had a older table lamp that used e26/e27 based bulbs but required a candelabra style bulb since it had a small lamp shade. These work great, I was able to use one of the LED bulbs I had in the fixture after getting these. They feel of good quality and have no real issues. The only downside is when you want to remove them from the fixture, you may need to use pliers since older style lamps have a deep recessed socket... no lip on this adapter to get your fingers on. So yea, unplug it first.

Amazing little gadgets
These are amazing! We have a chandelier that needed small edison bulbs, but theonly medium based ones we could find were too long for the glass enclosure. We ordered some chandelier bulbs with the smaller base as well as these adapters. They were so easy to use and the bulbs look amazing! I wish I had known about these sooner.

Top quality product
Very impressed by this product. I was using it to replace standard base incandescent bulbs with LED bulbs, but I would not hesitate to use it with higher heat bulbs. The base is ceramic,, not plastic, and the metal parts appear to be of stainless steel or high quality metal, not brass or copper.
