I'm comparing this to a Blackburn Dayblazer 1100 (much more expensive ~$90). While this light certainly can't match the lumen output (around 1000), it is impressive for the money. The output of this head light is much brighter than I expected. And it has an excellent feature: rechargeable battery! (the tail light is not, I believe it's a CR2032 battery). I am able to see across my yard with it, so I know it can get me down a mountain bike trail safely (albeit not as quickly as with my other light). It comes with a mount that you could use to attach to your bike handlebar or maybe your helmet. I was hoping for the standard gopro mount so you can adapt it in a variety of ways but I wasn't expecting much at this pricepoint. I would say it's water resistant but definitely not waterproof. The rear rubber boot only sits flush in a small channel, secured by a little plug. Removing the boot you can see into the housing. The boot doesn't press into the housing like other high end designs (the press-seal is what provides the water protection). I also did a run time analysis, and this thing was still on after 4 hours!! After 1 hour though, the brightness gradually dropped and by the 3rd hour it was probably 1/3 what it was initially. Still impressive given the weight and brightness. So, who is this for? Well for me personally it's so lightweight that it's worth throwing in a pack or on the bike as a backup. As a light for aggressive mountain riding, I think there's too much of a hotspot (not widespread enough) to be a bar mounted light. But it could work as a secondary light on your helmet, or for someone commuting who needs a light bright enough for the city but won't blind oncoming traffic. The flash function definitely works great for daytime commuting, alerting traffic to your presence. I do wish this had the same LEDs as the Vont Headlamp, as that is an altogether brighter light. Those LEDs in combination with a rechargeable battery would make a formidable bike light. The taillight does it's job as a taillight. Though I can't comment on the battery life, it has all the necessary flashing functions and is pretty bright! Amazingly, for the price of one higher end light, you could buy 5 or 6 of these things, and run them bar mounted. Then when one goes down you still have light :). I'm kind of joking, but I'm also kind of not. Vont makes a quality product and I would expect this to last a long time. The lights are packaged nicely and come with everything you need to charge and mount them. All for an impressively low price.

These lights are amazing! First, my 3 lights arrived on time. The head light has three easy to use modes, the construction is what you would expect from a bike light, I'm happy with it. The headlight is very bright and has a low beam setting and strobe. It's easy to install on the handlebars of wherever else you need it really. Easy to adjust the point of aim too while you ride but the headlight stays where you put it and will not shake loose or twist. Easy to recharge with the supplied cord. The tail lamp is very bright and has three modes too and it's easy to operate. I like that the rear light is offset with two lights. Although small, the rear light is easily seen from the sides and the rear. I haven't checked to see how the rear light charges or if it's with a battery and how to replace but I'm sure it's simple enough. You cannot beat this package with what you get and the cost. I'm not sure what other reviews say. For me, this product is ideal for my family. I feel good that these lights will let people know we're on or near the road. Also, the headlight is easy to remove from charge later too. We carry a portable power source just in case. Our evening rides on the way back is roughly 1.5 hours. We turn on our lights upon our return and all of our lights are still very bright. I recommend this to anyone looking for a great light set. And, customer service is remarkable! I'll leave it at that.

Lights were easy to install. I have not had it long enough to properly tell how long the battery lasts, I'll update the review if it underperforms my expectations but the overall build quality seems acceptable for the price (though it is all plastic in construction - I wouldn't want to drop this thing too hard). Photos don't capture how bad the hotspot in the middle of the beam is - it really is concentrated in one area, the lens on the front does basically nothing. I was also disappointed that the beam is not "cut off" at the top like a proper headlight should be, the shape of the housing looks like it should be but plenty of light goes upwards even when it's pointed down. I would be wary of using this on its brightest setting in areas with oncoming traffic unless it is really pointed far down at the ground because I think the effect could be blinding. The tail light seems okay, pretty bright and the flash settings aren't so fast they'd give you a seizure like some lights can be. Overall this light set is about what I expected for the price. Not great, not terrible, can't beat the price, good as a backup light or for infrequent night rides in well-marked bike lanes.

These lights are perfect. The headlights is super lightweight and bright. It's easy to slide on and off so it won't get stolen while my bike is parked out and about. I am all about rechargeable products these days, and the headlight comes with the USB charging cord. It was not charged when it arrived, but it's fast to charge it up. The taillight is bright, too, but is not rechargeable. The tail light is made of stretchy silicone, so it easily wraps around the seat post and is very secure. These lights work great and are worth more than what they cost, in my opinion!

I will be amending this review after actually testing run time but; The front light is VERY bright/brilliant, way more than expected for the cost. I'm also amazed at how little these lights weigh, extremely lightweight. I'm looking forward to trying it out on my helmet; I've been mounting my NiteRider but it's heavy. The rear light is also VERY light and brilliant for its size. It is not rechargeable and uses a very common CR2032 coin/button battery. The rubber covering around the light needs to be removed to locate the battery compartment which has a 'lid' that really needs improvement, but it does work. Without verifying runtime I would still recommend this set as it (each) is light weight, durable, very bright (not Pro level but very good) and mounts well without tools for a price well below the average light set in this class. .... Just finished the run-time test (in the house, not on an actual ride) with light on high - max usable is three hours and that's pushing it a bit. The 90 hours in the description is not truthful. As I have never needed a light that long the run-time, for me, is good. For the money this head light is the best for the money I've ever seen.

I love vont’s product and love their design and products. I have to say it’s a little disappointed with this bike light set. They did a great job with the front light in term of brightness - it is useful as a flashlight. However due to the design and the holder - it is difficult to install on the bike and you can make it stable when riding - could be the weight distribution so a couple bumps the light would drop it’s pointing angle. To use it as front light it is difficult to maintain the direction. It is good if you need to have a flashlight because it is bright. And because it is a usb you can charge it before use. I had it on for about 2 hours and it didn’t have any sign of running out of power. That’s the good thing about the light. However the tail light is not usb - which I wish they are - it doesn’t make sense to be one is and one isn’t. I do like how it look but the battery replacement would be more expensive than the light itself. Also the hook is too short to hook on the frame. I need to use another wire to hold it in place. (I end up removing it - don’t think I will be able to use it and honestly not planning on getting battery for it.). And btw it’s not standard AA/AAA battery so you need to stock the battery as they are not easily accessible. Vont please consider improvement to the light set - great idea but off this time.

Full disclosure; I received a promo code for this item. I ended up buying two of these despite the promo code only covering one of them because this light set really is one of the easiest and most effect that I’ve seen. The headlight charges super fast and so far lasts several days worth of twilight rides. We have two teenagers who like to ride together and these bike lights have increased our sense of security as traffic has slowly increased on our streets over that couple of weeks. One press of the button activated a super bright mode, a second press dims it a little, a third press switches to a slow flashing mode (similar to those pedal powered lights) and a fourth turns it off. The rubber housing seems fairly water proof. Attaching to the handle bars was super easy, such that no instructions are really needed. The rear light has batteries installed. To replace them you will have to stretch the rubber covering to the side and access the battery door. Again, very simple. My kids like them and using them increases their and our sense of security when they go riding towards dark.

This is a very nice bike light set to give to someone, or use for yourself. Comes in a very nice box that is gift-worthy - not in some sealed, unlabeled bag. More like something you would see in a bike shop. The fasteners are a great feature. No guesswork or worries about whether or not is will fit your handlebars and rear stem, and are easily installed/removed without tools. Some may find the straight headlamp not having as much brightness to their liking, but that is a personal preference, and I'm more than happy with it. In fact, I like the strobe feature best because it DOES get you noticed!! Finally, few words are as beautiful as 'rechargeable!' Heck, you can even store a spare battery pack in your bike and you'll never have to worry about it dying out on you, although the lights really last a long time and I have yet to charge it after a few hours. A great value all around!! A++

Tried twice and both charge cannot last 2 hrs. Cycling become dangerous when light is out.

Having to go on line to get instructions just don’t happen till needed but had a plastic clip that broke with just touching. So am unhappy with quality & paper instructions

The front light has not worked at all - it flashes on, but does not stay on. The video is what it looks like after if has been on charge, when it hasn't been charged nothing happens. I haven't used the light because it hasn't worked since day 1. I thought amazons choice tended to be reliable, however clearly not in this case. I would hope for a replacement or refund as clearly I have been sent a faulty device.
