I'm making a baby blanket that calls for 700 yards with a gauge of 4 stitches/6 rows to the inch (#8 needles).  Will this work???  Beginning knitter!

Items made of 100% cotton yarn like this tend to be heavy, dense, and will shrink making it even more dense. This also will absorb lots of moisture which will make items even heavier temporarily, and in the laundry a blanket of this will be a bear to wash and dry. If your user goes to a laundromat, this cotton blanket will cost a lot to dry. Crochet will exaggerate the qualities I've mentioned: knitting your item will make it lighter, at least. There are more suitable cotton yarns for garments and baby blankets such as Lion Brand 24/7 cotton yarn. Look on Ravelry.com for comments, reviews and patterns using your yarn in question: yarn people will talk about their experiments and will point you in a good direction. Good luck and have fun!

Lily sugar'n cream cotton cone yarn in white and in lite ecru is note pictured correctly. how do i kno i'm ordering the right one?

When I tried to click on different color options, sometimes I had to click on the color twice to get the picture to match the word description. Try that. It worked for me.

Question 4

Emerald Energy shows a different color from the main picture. The second one is correct. Which one will be sent?

On my website Autumn leaves Ombre is the second picture and Emerald Energy is the seventh picture.
Autumn leave Ombre is more soft colors of yellow, red, green and brown. Emerald Energy is bright colors of red, green, gold, white/cream, and dark brown. Hope this helps.
