They installed very easily. I would say they have scrimped a bit on the inside oval covers and how they stick to the plastic, but if they hold up there is no real worry about that. I chose the grey colour which makes a nice change. (This is my third pair of replacements - headphones great, as you would expect.)

I've had my Bose QCs for about 6-7 years now. They've always delivered a great audio experience and reasonable noise cancellation. I've taken them on countless flights and train journeys and they've been great. However, they failed to stand up to the heat and sweat generated in the gym and finally the ear pads began to fall to pieces and noise cancellation was lost. I had a quick look and decided wrongly that the pads couldn't be replaced by a user (I should really have checked the internet first!). Ingeniously, I persuaded my partner to give me the latest Sony equivalents for Xmas. These probably deliver even better sound and noise cancellation and they have Bluetooth, but they are not guaranteed to stand up to moisture either. I didn't want to risk the same thing happening to them. I then had a look around and found that replacement pads for the Bose were available and could easily be fitted by a user. Rather than risk the new (and more expensive) Sonys in the gym, I could use the Bose ones for the sweaty stuff and hope they last for another five years! I was skeptical about how easy it would be, but the replacement pads were pretty cheap and the reviews were good, so give it a try. They were delivered in a nice package with fairly clear instructions and a special tool to help with the replacement. The whole process took about 10 minutes with some trial and error (don't be put off!). The old pads come off quite easily. They are not an integral part of the headphone, neither are they glued into place. They simply click out of the plastic body of each headphone with a confident tug from the bottom, and the replacements similarly click into place. In fact I found the special tool not very helpful. Once I got the hang of how the ear pads fit (it's a good idea to pay attention to how the old ones come out) I found it much easier simply to press the replacements in with my thumbnail. Please look carefully and be sure that each one is firmly in place. If you don't press firmly enough and hear the clicks as you go all the way around, they can fall off. No damage is done. You just need to try again. Once done, the results are excellent. They look identical to the originals, are just as comfortable and distracting background noise is reduced equally well. I've only had them a few weeks and only time will tell how long they last.

My QC35ii headphones are probably my favourite headphones I've ever owned. I primarly used them for office working and public transport, so since the pandemic started and i'm now 100% work-from-home, they've been sat in a drawer ready for long distance travel again. I've had them for nearly 5 years. I've just started using them again at home. To my disappointment, the pleather had deteriotated in it's case over the last few years. I used them for a few hours, took them off, and the pleather was coming away from the padding and just looked like it was breaking down in general. The headphones are too good to throw away, but I'm pretty useless at fixing things. For once, I thought i'd try to fix something and give these replacement pads a go. The whole process took around 10 minutes, probably less. It was really simple, clearly explained in the small instruction sheet you get, and the result is great. My headphones actually look like they did when new. The pads are definitely more firm than the originals out of the box 5 years ago; but not overly so, so they are still as comfortable - and that is the most important thing about these for me and made me fall in love with them in the first place; the fact that they are so comfortable I often forget I'm even wearing them. All in all, great product as a first impression.

Die Original Bose Polster waren nach 3 Jahren auf beiden Seiten so eingerissen, daß der Schaumstoff raus quoll. Die hier hab ich jetzt auch 3 Jahre, die Beschichtrung fängt langsam an sich zu lösen. Das Trägermaterial ist noch völlig in Takt. Im Vergleich zum Original-Teil sind sie also wesentlich haltbarer.

Sollbruchstellen in teure Kopfhörer einzubauen ist ein Sakrileg, besonders wenn es sich um einen namenhaften Hersteller wie Bose handelt. Meiner Meinung nach gehören die kostenfrei durch die Herstellerfirma ersetzt, allerdings ist klar zu erkennen, dass hier nicht nur gespart wird, sondern die symmetrischen Einrisse eine klare Designentscheidung von Bose sind. Diese noname Ersatzmuscheln fühlen sich besser an, als das Original, lassen sich leicht installieren und sind auch noch preiswert. Ich möchte auch gar nicht in Frage stellen wo sie produziert wurden, weil Bose selbst wahrscheinlich schon längst alles in dritte Welt Ländern herstellen lässt. Die Qualität ist für den Preis aber wirklich hervorragend, klare Empfehlung solange man keine Markenhure ist.
