They installed very easily. I would say they have scrimped a bit on the inside oval covers and how they stick to the plastic, but if they hold up there is no real worry about that. I chose the grey colour which makes a nice change. (This is my third pair of replacements - headphones great, as you would expect.)

I've had my Bose QCs for about 6-7 years now. They've always delivered a great audio experience and reasonable noise cancellation. I've taken them on countless flights and train journeys and they've been great. However, they failed to stand up to the heat and sweat generated in the gym and finally the ear pads began to fall to pieces and noise cancellation was lost. I had a quick look and decided wrongly that the pads couldn't be replaced by a user (I should really have checked the internet first!). Ingeniously, I persuaded my partner to give me the latest Sony equivalents for Xmas. These probably deliver even better sound and noise cancellation and they have Bluetooth, but they are not guaranteed to stand up to moisture either. I didn't want to risk the same thing happening to them. I then had a look around and found that replacement pads for the Bose were available and could easily be fitted by a user. Rather than risk the new (and more expensive) Sonys in the gym, I could use the Bose ones for the sweaty stuff and hope they last for another five years! I was skeptical about how easy it would be, but the replacement pads were pretty cheap and the reviews were good, so give it a try. They were delivered in a nice package with fairly clear instructions and a special tool to help with the replacement. The whole process took about 10 minutes with some trial and error (don't be put off!). The old pads come off quite easily. They are not an integral part of the headphone, neither are they glued into place. They simply click out of the plastic body of each headphone with a confident tug from the bottom, and the replacements similarly click into place. In fact I found the special tool not very helpful. Once I got the hang of how the ear pads fit (it's a good idea to pay attention to how the old ones come out) I found it much easier simply to press the replacements in with my thumbnail. Please look carefully and be sure that each one is firmly in place. If you don't press firmly enough and hear the clicks as you go all the way around, they can fall off. No damage is done. You just need to try again. Once done, the results are excellent. They look identical to the originals, are just as comfortable and distracting background noise is reduced equally well. I've only had them a few weeks and only time will tell how long they last.

Absolutely brilliant. Excellent quality and like OEM but for half the price of Bose. Very happy to recommend. Noise cancelling is as per original as is fit and comfort. Some pics of the original ear pieces (yellow) vs new [hint: don’t lend to a teenage daughter!]. The plastic tool was helpful to click the new ear pads into place. Just press lightly into plastic ring and the ear pads will easily but securely click into the clips on the headphones. Didn’t bother to change the cloth covers but there’s a useful YouTube tutorial to search up for doing that if you want. Highly recommend!!

The foam pads on my wonderful Bose Quiet Comfort 25 headphones Started disintegrating about six months ago. I looked at replacements but put off buying anything because I was worried it would be fiddly and complicated. Plus, there are so many to look at on Amazon! Eventually however they really did start to fall apart, leaving me with no choice (see 1st photo). I need not have worried: It was really easy to fit the replacement ear pads. Clear, illustrated instructions (see 3rd pic) and a little spudger tool provided too. Final result – good as new (second photo). I've read reviews where people say that the foam cushioning isn't as soft and also that the noise cancellation is not as good. The foam cushions are very, very slightly firmer but still extremely comfortable. I wouldn't have noticed the difference if I wasn't looking for it. I cannot detect any difference whatsoever in the quality of the noise cancellation. Happy with my purchase and indeed very good value for money.

Die Original Bose Polster waren nach 3 Jahren auf beiden Seiten so eingerissen, daß der Schaumstoff raus quoll. Die hier hab ich jetzt auch 3 Jahre, die Beschichtrung fängt langsam an sich zu lösen. Das Trägermaterial ist noch völlig in Takt. Im Vergleich zum Original-Teil sind sie also wesentlich haltbarer.
