I really like this liquid zinc from MaryRuth’s! It’s so much easier to take than pills—I just add it to my morning drink and can’t even taste it. The liquid blends right in, and I love that it’s USDA Organic, vegan, gluten-free, and sugar-free. It feels great knowing I’m giving my body something clean and high quality. It’s safe for both adults and kids over 6 months, so your whole family can use it during cold season. I’ve definitely noticed I’ve been staying healthier. The taste is slightly sweet and very pleasant, and I like that it doesn’t need to be refrigerated after opening. Overall, it’s a great product at a fair price—super easy to fit into our daily routine!

This is my second bottle of this now. I have one child that will take medicine without any issues. I have another one that has a really really hard time. Flavors, texture, volume really bother her her and make her resistant. I have had no problems getting her to take this medicine!! It has no flavor, and it's not too thick not too thin. The largest volume for a child is 3 MLS so not too hard to take . You can use the dropper and put it straight into their mouth or mix it in something to drink. The dosing chart is right on the bottle so it's easy to use. It is not a tamper/ childproof top though. That's not a problem for me. The ingredients are vegetable glycerin and purified water. Sometimes I've noticed medicines have all these crazy additives. This one doesn't seem to have any and they state that their ingredients are vegan and non-gmo. It also doesn't need to be refrigerated I just keep it on the counter to remind me to give it.

I hate getting sick, and this stuff really seems to work. I was staying with family for a few weeks and my 5yo niece inevitably brought home a cold from kindergarten. She and mom got sick with mild cold symptoms. My brother-in-law and I immediately took full doses of this liquid zinc daily as soon as we heard sniffles - and somehow we never showed any symptoms! I knew my immune system wasn't at full strength too since I was sleeping poorly a few days in a row. My Garmin's HRV and stress levels seemed to indicate that my body was fighting something off, but I still had no symptoms while taking this liquid zinc. So there's your soft evidence! With this magical product, I don't feel the need to mask up as much in crowded spaces. (I do stay up to date on my vaccines so that probably helps too.) Texture is definitely a bit odd - similar to that rubbery feeling on your teeth after you eat spinach - but I'll take that tradeoff. I put 2-3 drops in a glass of water or tea and it doesn't change much. I've taken this with a glass of water on an empty stomach in the morning and I don't usually get nauseous - but I definitely recommend diluting with water just in case. If you do get nauseous, just eat some ginger candies or a real meal. YMMV.

I had read so many great reviews about this product and finally decided to buy two bottles to get our family through the winter. We’ve finished the first bottle, and overall, it’s been good so far. I’m taking off one star because my daughter really can’t tolerate the taste—she fusses every time she has to take it, and I usually have to give her something else to chew on afterward. MaryRuth does offer a separate kids’ zinc, so I’ll likely try that once we finish the second bottle. While it seemed practical to have one product for both adults and kids, it didn’t quite work out that way for us.

I recently starting giving this to for my child to help improve impulsive, defiant behavior and I believe it has helped. He is 3.5 but very tall and wears 5/6 clothing. I had tried the children's formulation of this Mary Ruth's product several months ago and didn't notice a drastic difference in his behavior, but in hindsight recall that the dry patches of eczema on his legs have disappeared. Again recently, I heard another children's vitamin brand claim that low zinc contributes to impulsive and moody behavior and I'm clearly seeing this in my child. (That brand was a gummy and he does not like gummies.) He is truly a sweet boy but somewhere along the line he started sleeping really poorly and having outbursts of mean, unruly behavior on a regular basis, so something went off the rails somewhere along the line. He has respiratory allergies and mild sleep apnea. ADHD also runs in the family, but he's a bit young for a diagnosis yet. I had read that people with ADHD are often lower in zinc that non-ADHD people and that supplementing with zinc can make it so they need a lower dose of stimulant medication. So, I decided to try this formulation. He already takes a liquid antihistamine daily and liquid melatonin nightly before bedtime to help him settle down. I started adding the unflavored liquid zinc to his dose cup of melatonin and he only tastes the grape flavoring in his melatonin. Over the last three weeks he has had fewer outbursts of defiance and hitting. He is more apt to listen to instructions and requests and more likely to comply. Last night I noticed he was also sleeping in a different position and didn't seem to mouth breathe quite as bad. I do believe this has helped bring back the sweet boy I know he truly is.

More expensive than other zincs i have used but loved that it is simple and clean without a bunch of additives. Easy to squirt into my morning water!

Repeat customer! Feel like this has helped keep colds away and my kids go to daycare full time! So that says a lot. I feel it helps heal skin conditions quicker too! My son doesn’t even taste it in his milk. Will continue to buy, great product!

The taste is tolerable for my daughter, which is a huge win because Zinc can taste awful! Since taking this zinc she is finally sleeping well again. She has autism and seems more regulated when taking zinc. Will definitely buy again.
