Description

Formed in 2004 Pikeville Kentucky's DOWNTREND fuses hardcore riffs with melodic hooks for a sound that is all their own. The members include Guitarist Josh Crum, Drummer Jay Justice, Bassist Jeremy Justice, and vocalist Mike Jackson. Downtrend is best known for their all out energetic performances as well as being one of the hardest working bands on the scene. In April 2007 Downtrend singed with VISION METAL RECORDS. Their debut (VMR) release 'NOVATION' was released in April of 2009. Downtrend is also well known for the excessive amount of charity shows they have performed over the past 5 years. Events ranging from the Make A Wish Foundation to Hurricane Katrina Benefits. They have also won their share of awards and battle of the bands competitions, including winning the 2009 Best In The Valley Award by being voted on by the people of Appalachia as the 'Best Band In The Valley'. With the perfect mixture of melody and madness Downtrend has what it takes for fans, radio DJ's and promoters to take notice. They are building up momentum as well as a large local following.
