Can it hold a 200lb deer and have two guys pulling with their weight to skin the animal? I know it says up to 600lbs but two more guys at 225lbs ea?

I am with this guy, I prefer to skin my deer 20ft above the ground while rappelling from the carcass.

When it is fully retracted it is 22 inches from top to bottom (including the carabiner clip)

Can I use this gambrel for raccoon?

If you can spread the little critters legs that wide. If so, it's probably not a raccoon and your money would be better spent elsewhere.

Question for a professional game cutter: is this good enough for elk? Also, would you recommend something else for a guy whose done a lot of processi?

Max is 600 lbs. so for cow elk you are good, but for a big bull that can be up to 800-1200 lbs, I would not attempt even after gutting. I do not have experience with others so I can't make a recommendation at this time.
