Foot Drop Brace for Walking with Adjustable Dorsiflexion Support, XS/S

After going through 4 braces and sending them back for CMT drop foot issues, the other braces were "In the shoe" and not working for me at all. Ordered this one to try out and it really works well. I had a hip replacement done in December, and the surgery made my CMT more active in the same leg for the drop foot issues. After falling from my toe dragging the floor after putting my tennis shoe on, I needed a reliable brace to keep the foot up. This one does the job, beautifully. I even found that I was walking straight and normal with the new hip, while wearing this brace, so it is helping to realign my bones in my feet to my hip byholding the foot up, properly, while walking. I have to have help putting this brace on for the new hip limits of not bending past 90 degrees, but this brace is very easy to adjust the pull and the tension needed for a very comfortable fit and support. After evaluating many of these foot brace designs, even looking at some that were $1000. +, I am thrilled to have found this brace. Very well made, you can purchase replacement parts and it fits very well. Just be certain to measure your ankle as in the photos to get the best size for the best fit. I purchased this 9 months ago. I think this is one of the best products for foot drop. It is easy to put on, very comfortable all day wear. I have tried several different styles, none of them compare to this. The fact that you can order the band and the hooks separately is great. I ordered extra hooks for the shoes so I do not need to change them out. I have had this one for 10 months and just had to replace the band portion. The velcro and the support are still going strong! Only issue was the sizing. I ordered the medium/large and it was too loose, but was able to exchange for the x small/small. I am an average size male but had to go with the smaller size.

Easy to use and definitely helps with foot drop, it's adjustable to fit your needs.

This works great. Maybe not the prettiest device, but it’s been a big help with my foot drop. This is the fourth device I’ve tried, and works best. You can route the rubber cord through it different ways to get different amounts of ‘pull’ on the foot. One modification I made was instead of using the metal hooks supplied, I inserted 1” metal key rings in my shoes. These rings are easier to hook on to.

Initially this device is great, but after only a couple months, the velcro wears out. I've had to buy 3 of them in the course of 6 months. It ends up being costly due to having to constantly repurchase. I really need it, but I'm going to investigate in to a different one. For this reason, I only give it 3 stars.

So far so good. I have used AFOs for 28 years after an accident in my early 20s. I have tried many different styles and fads of AFOs over the years. I came across this and saw many good reviews so I decided to try it. I have tried other similar styles in the past and did not feel they gave enough support. I thought worse case scenario I send it back after giving it a try. I ordered a large, I needed a small. To my surprise this brace works quite well. Attaching the loops that go on the show are quite simple and take under 10 seconds per eyelet. It comes with enough sets you can put them on several shoes. Having the brace attach low, just above the ankle does take a bit of getting use to. My Achilles got a bit sore the first few times i wore it but I got use to it pretty quickly. Virtually all new braces I have wore take a little break in period so don’t be too alarmed if it feels a bit funny the first few wears. What I like about it is the flexibility it allows. If you are someone who needs a lot of support this may not be the best option for you. My other go-to brace is a TurboMed which offers a lot more support but also cost around $1000 give or take. I intend to have a couple of these to have as backup braces and also to wear daily when I don’t feel like wearing the larger brace. I cannot say how well the band will hold up, I ordered 2 extras and realize I could likely fashion my own with the clips if and when it breaks out of some slingshot tubing. I also really like how easy it is to reach down and unclip one side of it when I am stationary for a while, like driving, to relieve pressure off my foot and ankle. If you are like me and like to know your options and try different AFO trope braces for foot drop I would recommend trying this one. At $50-60 it is hard to beat if this one works for you. My dad is paralyzed on the left side of his body from a stroke so his foot drops and turns inwards at the ankle. I just received this and he tried it on shoes with Velcro and for the first time in 27 years wore slides to test it out and was able to walk in them. Even walked without his cane with more ease. This was just a quick test run and worked great, we’ll be going on a 3 week long trip so I’ll update after that to see how he likes it for actual long term use!

My grandma broke her hip, had surgery, and was left with no feeling in her right leg or foot. She was recommended to get a very specific brace to help with her new mobility challenges, and this brace has been perfect. I bought her a pair of the Hoka Solimar shoes and the brace works wonderfully with them

This is one of the most expensive unit but it is worth the money. It is the same unit I used while I was in the hospital during my recovery. It allows rather fine adjustment to my need (ie more or less tension, more tension on which side of my foot, etc). I have been using the footflexor when I did my walking exercises and I found that the footflexor helped me to walk easier and walk further distance. Due to te fine adjustment, the footflexor can be adjusted to my various stages of my condition during my recovery. I am very happy with it and believe that I get what I pay for.

It’s great. You can wear it outside your shoes. You need shoes that has shoeties because you need to hook it where you put the shoelace are.

This is a very good product but we need to buy additional clips, not the whole brace
