Janine and Micah's Story
The second installment to the Hart Sisters Trilogy is a very well written book, as was the first installment (The Billionaire’s Secret Marriage). I have all of Ms. Lennox's books (yes over 60), so to say that I like her writing is an understatement. I like the Hart Sisters as Triplets, their story line their family environment and support. This family is very believable with a lot of depth and dimension to each character, including the 4 YO Twin Girls that belong to Janine, the main character of this book, but the entire family is likeable and loveable. I love the fact that Ms. Lennox releases most of her series within 30 days or so of each other, instead of 1+ year. In that amount of time, we have forgotten about the story line, characters and what was going on before the next installment arrived. As a devoted reader of romance books, I appreciate it that Ms. Lennox thinks of her readers and releases her series quickly.Summary: We found out in the first book (Secret Marriage), that Janine had an encounter with a man in Rome that she fell in love, but, things did not work out and she came back to Washington, D.C. and found out she was pregnant and had twin girls. Her entire family has helped her since she came back to the U.S. The Triplets live and work together all in the same building, with the living apartments upstairs from their catering business. In Chapter 1, Janine is working and hears a deep voice that she immediately recognizes as the love of her life, Micah, that she had ran away from five (5) years ago. Micah had finally come to her and wanted her back, but, he did not know that he was a father of twin girls. As we soon discover there is a reason that Janine ran away and it has everything to do with Micah’s miserable mother.Janine decides that she cannot get involved with Micah again because her heart would not take another rejection from him. Micah, being an Alpha male does not listen as Janine continues to tell him to get out and that this relationship would not work because Micah made it clear that he did not believe in love or marriage and more than anything Janine wants that for herself and her twin girls. As the dance continues between Micah and Janine, the sparks fly and the passion become very steamy and HOT. You will want to read this book and find out if Janine is willing to compromise her HEA with a man that seemingly only wants her body or does he?

A Fair Book with a Hero I Could Have Done Without!
For me this was a 2.5 to 3.0 star read.Five years ago, Janine Hart fell in love and had an intense affair with Micah whom she had met in Italy while attending cooking school. She fell so hard and deep and then her world shattered along with her heart. On the evening he took her to meet his awful parents they treated her like a criminal, like trash. Told her flat to her face that she was not good enough for their son and refused to even speak to her etc...it was really quite horrendous. After that visit Micah turned cold and pulled away from her. She knew her future with him was over because of his parents influence and the facts that he was commitment phobic, didn't want to marry or have children. What was really left for her since he was pulling away and barely looking at her through cold icy blue eyes. She packed her bags and went home to her family.Five years later he shows up at her business and tells her he wants her. Why did she leave him? What had happened etc. He would have swiftly found out if he had contacted her and she was tired of leaving message after message about the babies with him not answering a single one. She never heard back from him and was devastated. This was a pretty predictable story line with a Hero who was not at all likable...at least I didn't care for him. Micah was way beyond your alpha male who was not endearing in the least. He was horribly arrogant, a dishonorable bully, and a jerk to the inth degree. Apparently he was well adept at charming the pants off women..many, many women if my understanding is correct. Most of the book moved a bit too slowly for me and really lacked the depth I like to experience in a romance novel. Quite a bit of sex for a short book and yes it seemed it was SEX as there didn't appear to be love-making, just frantic sex.I liked the heroine except she had such a weakness for him and was not strong enough to stop his constant advances. The way he treated her made her feel as though she was being held captive, a prisoner. He would refuse to leave her home or give her space of any kind. Oh yes, and lest I not forget, he was a man-whore and had financially kept mistresses. I thought that went out ages ago. Did not add to the likability factor. Also he told her in no uncertain terms that he turned to other women...to try and get over her. Boy, nothing says love like screwing other women to get over your one true love...oops, I just threw up in my mouth over that.I hate to complain but the cover appeared to me to be of an older man. Not so great!

Short and sweet
Blowing back into Janines life after a 5 year absence Micah was not expecting her hostility or the twin girls she had raised on her own. Melting her heart and getting to know his daughter jumps to top priority on his list.

Steamy story
Some things are left ambiguous, but the plot is good. Worth reading, even though I partly read it just to find out how the first couple were doing. I like the first book better, but this is still a pleasant read.

The Italians twin surprise
This was a really good book. A bit of steamy sex scenes, heat and passion with a little shock as well. Brilliant. Roll on book 3 for the final triplet sister...
