Works perfectly with 2002 Sony DVD player and 2025 Smart TV
This product works perfectly for what I require. Connected a 2002 Sony DVD Player (model DVP NS 305) using its Composite (AV) plugs to a 2025 Samsung 43" Smart TV HDMI socket. Clear crisp picture filling the whole screen and also clear sound. Upscales old DVD's to 1080p, obviously still low resolution for large screen tv's but excellent considering the start point. Product works fine on the 5v1.0amp USB socket on the TV. Only slight irritation is that the power USB connector to the Converter is an old version and is linked to a short (50cm) cable. Connection to the TV HDMI is standard HDMI male to male connector. Excellent value for money

Worked first time when plugged in. Fairly easy - even for someone in their mid 70 ‘s! 👍 Good value for money - as long as it lasts. 🤞

Converter is easy to install. Some of the lids need adjusting to fit snug in to the connection.

Great for connecting old av gear to HDMI tv.
Bought to connect a VHS video machine to an OLED tv with HDMI inputs. Very happy with the result. Plan to buy another to connect a DVD player to the same tv. Needs a handy USB power supply to connect to.

Great little gadget
This magic little box helped me record from a VHS tape machine to a iMac so I could didertise them and reclaim all our mermories, Well worth the money

Used for retro console.
Used for gamecube. This is OK for what it is simple to set up no fasting about BUT. The upscaling on modern TV just isn't great especially if using a PC monitor. Not very clear looks quite bland and fuzzy. For the sake of £5 it does the job just not to a level of sustained gaming on a modern TV. Best spend the cash on better upscalers if using for a vintage console.

Hi8 Camcorder, works a treat.
Must admit I took a punt with this as I had tried everything else to get an old Hi 8 camcorder to display old family tapes on my modern tv. For a fiver I didn't expect much but it worked a treat.Pictures as bright and as sharp to be expected from tapes over twenty years old.So I recommend this 100% because I never thought I would see those tapes again on a big screen.

Works for PS1 and PS2
Clear picture for PS1 and PS2 even when already run through an AV splitter. However, when the consoles display nothing (a black screen) as is common with long load times on old scratched disks, this adaptor flashes an obnoxious blue screen saying no signal for just a brief moment. It is a small thing but in a dark room when gaming, that sharp blue flash when a game loads can really detract. Overall great product, hope it lasts.
