Medical Grade No-Touch Forehead Thermometer | Adults, Kids, Infants, Newborns, Non-Contact, Touchless Temporal Fever

I am a home health occupational therapist and have to check my patient's temperature every time I make a visit. The company I work for provides the traditional ones that goes into the mouth (plastic sleeves are put on them). Some of my other co-workers bought their own forehead thermometers. The ones they use look like guns (to me). I never liked the idea of pointing something that looks like a gun at someone. When I came across this one I felt that it would be perfect. Most of my patients say it looks like a remote, and it does, lol. When it arrived I was impressed with it's sleek design. It was easy to use and has a fast response time. I like that it has an automatic turn off feature. I get a lot of questions about it. The company that I work for hired an assistant for me (called a COTA) and when she saw mine, she ordered one on the spot. Ive been using this since February (It is now August) and it is still going on the same batteries. I am very happy with this thermometer. I recommend

This runs about 1.5 degrees cooler than our in-ear thermometer, so you have to do some mental calculations to get the right answer. That seems to be the norm and doesn’t particularly bother us, although I might print a little label to remind us of that detail. We got this thermometer just in time for our bouts with Covid—it was nice to be able to take my husband’s temp without waking him. We also took it cross-country on vacation. It didn’t take up as much space as our in-ear thermometer does and didn’t need a pkg of little ear pieces, so that was convenient. This won’t replace our primary thermometer, but it’s a nice second.

I don’t know if it is accurate or not but I’ve been testing it every now and then to see if temp is really up to the par to others. I compared it to the one that my company use and there’s slight discrepancy on the reading. My company use a gun temperature reader and sometimes the reading wasn’t accurate. I guess it depends on how people use it to read. There’s supposed to be at least 6 inches away from the forehead to really read the temperature. The gun pointed about 4 inches away from my forehead and it reads 97.6. This one reads 96.7. I don’t know who is accurate or not. I guess I have to test it more to find out. I’ll update what I come up with.

Not the most accurate thermometer but better than not using one. Typically, it doesn’t detect a fever unless it’s above 100. I had 2 of these thermometers and they went into Celsius mode or showed everyone’s temperatures was hypothermic after 2 years of gentle use at home.

Definitely accurate and the best thermometer I have ever used. Most the negative reviews were because I don't think directions were followed. Make sure to keep it between .3 and 1.2 inches away from your head and measure directly between your eyebrows not above or anywhere else and you'll get accurate results every time! Seriously I almost feel like there was a bad batch or the bad reviews are coming from maybe one bad batch of thermometers that were made or competitors and maybe some people really are having a hard time with them but it's literally the easiest thermometer I've ever used and definitely the quickest. Even with my toddler thrashing around and jumping I can get an accurate read on her temperature and she can even take her own temperature. It's literally the easiest best thing ever created. If I had had this when my little one was just a little bit smaller I could have avoided the rectal thermometers completely! Like seriously y'all don't listen to the other reviews and give it a try and if you end up with a bad one just return it but I promise you we bought like four or five and I've been amazing
