I can't even begin to describe the amount of time that I've spent over the years looking for short grain rice for Paella -- and I live in Los Angeles. It shouldn't be that big a deal to find rice for paella -- but it is. Then I got the idea to look on amazon. The price was good and I didn't have to go on a scavenger hunt. Oh -- and this rice is terrific. There weren't any surprises -- the package is the right size -- and it cooked and absorbed the liquid from the Paella as expected. I don't make paella frequently -- a few times a years -- so a 1 lb bag is actually perfect (I believe this bag is actually 1.1 lbs). The quality and taste was excellent.

Had weevil eggs in it and gave our pantry a weevil infestation after a month. Make sure to freeze when you get and then rinse before using.The company reached out and made amends. They refunded me and apologized

I bought this for my first attempt at a mixed seafood/vegetable/meat paella. This was my first experience using this type of rice. It wonderfully absorbed all the flavors in the paella pan and had the classic crust on the bottom of the pan adding fun crunchies to the dish. The paella came out great and this rice was the canvas that held the recipe together.
