Absolutely fine. Its gonna be 42mm ~ 300mm. But you are gonna have a very high ISO photos at night or indoor without a tripod cuz lack of OSS.

Does this lens have image stabilization? i have an a6400 so i don't have ibis on my body

Unfortunately no, it does not have image stabilization in the lens. I believe it's more intended for Sony full-frame cameras with in-body stabilization.
