The mat is made of a felt-like material but more like polyester and yeah it does arrive pretty creased. But honestly, once I steamed it, it was totally fine. If you’re using an iron, just cover it with something so you don’t mess up the material. I’ve seen some negative reviews and they kind of confuse me. Yes, the felt is on the thinner side, but it still does the job once it’s flattened out. What did you expect for ten bucks? Anyway, the roll-up feature worked well for me too. Just keep in mind your puzzle needs to be somewhat built and stable, if you’ve only done the edges, of course it’s going to fall apart when you roll it up. I’ve rolled and unrolled the same puzzle a bunch of times with no issues. With small kids at home, I usually only get short chunks of time to work on puzzles, so this has been super helpful for saving progress.

I bought this for my daughter and her husband, and they were so appreciative! It works really well and makes it easy to enjoy puzzles anywhere in the house, especially on cold, rainy days. The best part is being able to roll it up and store it away without losing your progress. It’s so nice not having a puzzle taking over your table or sitting out all the time until it’s finished. Overall, a great, practical purchase for any puzzle lover!

I just started puzzling so I needed a mat and didn't want to get an expensive one in case this activity doesn't last. Arrived quickly as described. It is a thin felt mat. It's ok but it shifts if the edge is close ro rhe edge of tour table and I find rhe pieces don't slide but get caught on the felt fibers- this could be deliberate in case in needs to be rolled up, not sure. Anyway for a starter it's fine. If I continue with puzzling I'll.fo ahead and get a board.

Just meh. Same as everyone else (mostly). It does break up a lot of pieces when you unroll it. It does serve its purpose for sure, but I don’t like the fact that the “accordion” like tube does leave the wrinkles and bumps when you unroll it. All in all, it does what it says! Next time, like I did 20 years ago, I’ll go to a fabric store, buy felt and ask them for a one of their large, empty spools that the fabric came on.

the mat is made of felt, it doesn't stay down and tends to stretch and catch on dust. the puzzle pieces are difficult to slide around on this which makes it good for rolling up and saving - however, its causing pieces to break when it comes to shifting puzzle chunks around. If you don't intend on rolling it up - it might be better to look for a smooth mat, maybe like the kind a mousepad is made of. The storage part, works but with how much dust it collected, i probably would have preferred a play mat.

Always pushed off purchasing a puzzle mat since I always saw them 3x more expensive than this one. I've done three puzzles on this now and can say this one is worth it! We live in an apartment where large table space is valuable. We've always put off doing puzzles until we came across this! Now we constantly have a puzzle going. Easy to use, rolls well, and even keeps single loose pieces in place. The guidelines for puzzle size is a nice touch. Would recommend!

This works so much better than I ever imagined. We like to work on puzzles when the weather is bad and we don’t want to keep the puzzle out all the time. Buying a puzzle table with slide out drawers sounds good, but who has an extra table for that? Plus, we have a granddaughter that would be tempted to mess with the puzzle. We simply roll it up and when we are ready to work on the puzzle again, we unroll it. The pieces stay put. So impressive and so affordable!

I got one of these because I run in-home childcare and have kids, I can’t just leave a puzzle sitting out to work on occasionally. I was nervous the first time I rolled the puzzle up in it but when I unrolled it, everything was fine. I do find it doesn’t lay completely flat though so it’s hard to do the puzzle sometimes. Obviously on a flat surface is much better, but this works for me.

Better working on this than boards. Love it!
