I originally bought this Aveeno Eczema Therapy Cream for my son because he has sensitive, dry skin that can get irritated easily, especially during seasonal changes. Unfortunately, his skin didn’t react well to this particular product at first, so we contacted Amazon and received a refund. They told us we could keep or dispose of the cream ourselves, so instead of throwing it away, my husband decided to try it on his own dry, itchy areas. Honestly, that completely changed our opinion of this product. After just a few uses, we started noticing a big improvement in his skin. He gets patches of rough, irritated dryness, especially around the arms, legs, and during colder weather, and this cream helped calm everything down much faster than many regular body lotions we’ve tried before. The skin looked less flaky, less irritated, and much more comfortable overall. The texture is rich and moisturizing without feeling greasy or sticky. It absorbs slower than lightweight lotions, but that actually makes it feel more protective and long-lasting on very dry skin. Once it settles in, the skin feels soft and hydrated for hours. My husband especially liked that it didn’t burn or sting on irritated areas, which happens with some heavily fragranced creams. One thing I really appreciate is that it’s fragrance-free and steroid-free. For people with sensitive skin or eczema-prone skin, that makes a huge difference. The colloidal oatmeal and ceramide combination seems to help strengthen the skin barrier instead of just temporarily coating the skin. Over time, his skin looked healthier instead of constantly cycling between dryness and irritation. I also noticed this works especially well after showering when applied to slightly damp skin. It helps lock in moisture much better that way. Another bonus is the value. The tube is large, and a little goes a long way because the cream is thick and concentrated. I also found the Amazon price slightly cheaper than many local stores around us, which made it an even better deal. Overall, even though this cream didn’t end up working for my son personally, I’m still giving it a very positive review because it worked extremely well for my husband’s dry and eczema-prone skin. It reminded me that skincare can be very individual, but when this product works for your skin type, the results can actually be really impressive.

I’ve been dealing with an eczema flare-up, and while I know everyone’s eczema and body are different, this product truly made a difference for me. My eczema is triggered by sweat, which is extremely hard to manage since I live in a very humid country. My dermatologist prescribed a topical steroid cream that I can only use for 5 days at a time, followed by a minimum 2-week break. After using the steroid, I was still itchy. I tried E45 cream, unscented petroleum jelly, and even baby diaper rash cream. While they helped briefly, the relief never lasted. I love exercising, but during my flare-ups, sweating makes my skin inflamed and unbearably itchy — I hadn’t worked out in over a week. The moment I applied this cream, my itching stopped immediately (no exaggeration). I put it to the test by exercising — I sweat more than average — and not once did my skin itch, turn red, or flare up like it normally does. I was honestly so happy. Definitely repurchasing. Highly recommend giving it a try.

I have tried everything for my itchy peri menopausal skin and this is the only cream that helps me so much! It helps my skin stay soft and not greasy and it has a light scent so it’s not overpowering. It lasts a long time also because you don’t need a lot of it.

This is the first time I’ve ever written a review of a product ever and I’ll explain why. My childhood eczema came back about 4 years ago - I would get it on my face (mainly on my cheeks and around my eyelids) but it would only flare up very occasionally. Last fall my work schedule went crazy so I was super stressed and not sleeping, and my eczema flared up massively and nothing I tried would get it to go away for longer than a couple days. I tried OTC steroids, la roche posay, and cerave without much luck. I decided to give this a go in December 2021 and I genuinely have not had a flare up ever since (very rarely I will feel it a tiny bit or cheeks will start going a little red but it goes away before I could even call it eczema). I use it every morning, after I shower, and then most nights. I stopped using any other skin routine products at all and now will only let this touch my face (though I occasionally use Aveenos exfoliator like once a week too). I’m always hesitant to put something solely down to just one product as I don’t want to mislead people so I will add 2 caveats - one is that around the same time I started using this, my work schedule calmed down ever so slightly (still not much though), and also I started to add turmeric to my morning smoothies as I heard that helps. That said, I truly think it is this product that has contributed 95% of keeping my eczema away. I’ve been meaning to write this review for like 4 months but I’m lazy and never got round to it, but I feel like eczema can be a pretty emotional / difficult thing and I’m so extremely grateful for this product that I finally forced myself to write this review to share my experience. Obviously what works for people differs depending on individual skin so this may not be everyone’s holy grail, but I can’t stress enough that at the very very least I think it’s worth just giving this product a try. This is the one product I am 100% loyal to and will never swap out of my routine.

This is a nice moisturizer, but with my horrendously dry skin I had higher hopes. I don't have eczema, but my skin does hurt by the end of the day. I end up with raw spots where my socks, belt, inseam, bra and seams under my arms. Painful. I'm trying their body oil right now. Hopefully it will relieve as advertised.

If your skin is exceptionally dry, try this product. I was amazed at just how fast it soothes. The more I use, the better it feels.

Fast delivery and good product

I’ve suffered from severe itchy skin - knee down on both legs - for several years - have tried various moisturizers and creams …. condition worsens during winter months - but those creams and lotions didn’t give any relief! 24 Hrs after starting with Aveeno - the condition completely disappeared and my skin is silky smooth all over the body! Despite having known about the brand - I blame myselves for not having tried this years earlier!
